Jay Boor, Head of Publishing at Kojima Productions, announced that Death Stranding has sold 5 million copies on PC and PS4. In addition, and contrary to some rumors, Boor said that the game has performed quite well.
As Jay Boor told GamesIndustry:
“With Death Stranding being the first title developed out of Kojima Productions, from a sales perspective, it has performed quite well. As of March 2021, Death Stranding has sold through over five million units worldwide on PlayStation 4 and PC.”
Back in April 2021, 505 Games stated that the game had generated over €23 million on PC.
In Death Stranding, players assume the role of Sam Bridges. Sam must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of the future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time.
Death Stranding is using the Decima Engine and performs incredibly well on PC. Kojima Productions has also added support for DLSS 2.0 via a post-launch update. The game also has Very Positive reviews on Steam right now.

Quite well, indeed, for a niche game.
Loved it. I like how this japanese tell stories.
like westerners?
Did he stop being japanese? He does seem to live rent free in your head tough.
lmao.
Dunno, usualy I take a game and judge it by the whole content, and I loved every one of his games (MG5 a little bit less than others, but still very good in terms of history), being Snake Eater my preferred one. His histories are always full of politics and betrayals, I love it.
It would be an extra one if it weren’t for the having to look at NUUUUUURMUN REEEEEEEEEEEDUS’ face the whole time, goddamn he’s ugly
so it sold about as much as a AAA game would need to sell today to be profitable, only this is more expensive.

How much more expensive are you talking about?
Kojima bought 3million copies himself.
lmao yeah that is for sure
What a garbish game
Is the word garbage censored in this site?
Edit: Apparently not, so what’s wrong with your grammar?
hahahahah
Kojima bought 3million copies himself.
All the profits go to the marketing budget I reckon. This ret@rd game has been shilled beyond comprehension. Even my grandma wanted to play it, and she’s blind and doesn’t have a PC
Bring the directors cut to PC!!!
Garbo game made by a pretentious weirdo that can’t stop kissing the West’s butt.
death who? you know your game is utter dog shet when pirates don’t want to play it.
Same here. Sure, am at fibre gigabit, but why waste a cool 150gb for this trash I know I will never touch.
?
lmao there are 5 million of sub normals ppl…!!! What a garbish ever seen game.
I’d never install this garbo game.
i liked kojimas earlier stuff but death stranding was terrible. the only reason people like it is to get from cutscene to cutscene. better to watch the hours of cutscenes on youtube and save time.
People upset that a game that doesn’t galvanize their ADHD has an audience.
God forbid someone else enjoys something you don’t.
I’m sure there are people who enjoy eating po*p and vomit, I get your point but weak argument.
