Call of Duty Modern Warfare PC Open Beta available for pre-load, PC system requirements revealed


Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that the open beta PC build for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is available for pre-load. PC gamers will have to install the Blizzard app, launch it and download the open beta build from there.

Do note that only those that have pre-ordered the game will be able to play later today. For everyone else, the open beta will begin on September 21st. Still, and even if you haven’t pre-ordered the game, you can go ahead and pre-load the beta.

Furthermore, Activision has also revealed the official PC system requirements for COD: MW’s Open Beta. The game will only support DirectX 12 and Activision lists an Intel Core i5 2500K as the minimum CPU requirement. The game will also require 45GB of free hard-disk space.

Activision recommends an Intel Core i7 4770K or AMD equivalent with 16GB of RAM. The publisher also recommends using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970/GTX 1660 or an AMD Radeon R9 390/AMD RX 580 graphics card.
