Bloober Team has announced two new games it’s working on. The first is a new Star Trek game, Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, and the second is a new SAW game, SAW: Genesis. So, let’s take a closer look at them.
Star Trek: Shadow Frontier is a story-driven third-person action-adventure game. The game follows Ro Laren, a Bajoran character portrayed by Michelle Forbes. After her ship crashes on a remote planet, Ro Laren finds herself trapped in a strange world controlled by a mysterious consciousness. To survive, she must explore a planet that is both beautiful and extremely dangerous.
The game features dangerous creatures that roam the world and can attack at any moment. These enemies patrol different areas, making exploration risky and unpredictable. As Ro Laren, you will face tough battles and tense escape situations. Every encounter will challenge both your skills and your courage. To survive, you must stay alert, watch your surroundings carefully, and decide whether to fight your enemies or avoid them and find another way forward.
Star Trek: Shadow Frontier promises to blend exploration, puzzles, combat and cinematic set-pieces into a gripping, story-driven adventure that rewards patience, observation, and smart decision-making. Paramount Games will release it sometime in 2027.
On the other hand, SAW: Genesis is a 3v1 multiplayer horror game. In this game, one player is the Judge, and three are the Accused. Accused players must work together to escape a maze of traps, while the Judge orchestrates their rehabilitation.
The Judge can customize his/her approach with perks and traps, then seek to control the match from the shadows. Unlike other asymmetrical multiplayer games, the Judge is physically vulnerable and cannot overpower the Accused through sheer force alone. This will force you to either sacrifice a body part to escape or rely on your teammates to rescue you in time.
