The Witcher 3 Online Mod

The Witcher 3 Online Mod Version 2.0 Available for Download

The modding team behind the Multiplayer Online Mod for The Witcher 3 has released a new major update for it. So, let’s see what this update brings to the table.

For those who did not know, Witcher Online is a mod that adds multiplayer to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. With this mod, players can join servers and play together with friends. You can customize your character with Custom Player Characters and relax in taverns using the Chill Out feature. You can also chat with other players, use emotes, and roleplay with strangers. Best of all, you can experience the full story of Geralt and Ciri from beginning to end, all while exploring the world of The Witcher with other players.

Each player will be able to see their equipped armor, swords, crossbow, scabbards, hairstyle, and face mark. There is also full movement and combat sync. Players can swim, ride horses, and fight enemies with their friends.

Version 2.0 adds horse and boat sync. Multiple players can now ride the same horse or be on the same boat. Passengers will sit on the back of the horse or behind the player riding the horse. Passengers will also sit on the other side of the boat, similar to how NPCs would sit.

A new cool feature that has been added is item trading. You can now trade items with other players. Player 1 selects an item they want to trade and a desired price. Player 2 can accept or decline. If Player 2 accepts, he will receive the item and lose the amount of crowns Player 1 requested. Player 1 will receive the crowns and lose the item. Item trading is accessible in the player menu or through console commands.

And that’s not all. Another cool feature is morph sync. Players can now transform into different animals (owl, cat, fox, and crow) from Custom Player Characters. They can either morph through casting the Yrden sign after unlocking the necessary ability from Custom Player Characters or by using the console commands.

It’s also worth noting that the team has made major changes to the server/client functions. The server architecture is now based on UDP, instead of TCP. This is faster and should reduce connection issues some players were having.

All in all, this is a great major update for The Witcher 3 Online. So, if you are interested in playing it online with your friends, you can go ahead and download it from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find its full patch notes.

Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you can also download some other cool mods for it. For example, there is a really cool first-person mod. The Characters Reworked Project is another interesting mod that improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs. Then we have this mod that overhauls the game’s combat with better animations, better targeting, and new dodging mechanics.

In July 2024, we shared mods that restored the boat races and added 15 new quests. A modder has also restored the reputation system that CDPR cut from the game. Plus, there is a cool fan expansion, based on the original book “The Last Wish”. Then, in February 2026, a modder shared a DLC-sized expansion mod that added a new questline for Ciri and a new region to explore.

In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then, in February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin. Or how about this Sekiro-inspired combat mod?

We also have some mods for those playing with Ray Tracing. The RTX Mirrors Mod adds proper reflections to the game’s mirrors. Then we have this mod that improves the fire effects via Ray Tracing Global Illumination. Plus, this mod fixes the Ray Tracing bleach issues.

Have fun!
