Prince of Persia fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Evgeshajk’ has released 4K Texture Packs for the Prince of Persia Trilogy. This means that you can enjoy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones with 4K textures.
Evgeshajk has used AI tools to overhaul and enhance the original textures. As such, the modded textures retain the art style of the original ones. At the same time, the new textures look sharper and crisper.
The modder has shared some comparison shots, and I have to say that these texture packs make a huge visual difference. The lighting is still a bit basic and is not close to what we see in modern games. Still, these 4K texture packs give the classic Prince of Persia games a big visual boost. They also make these older games much more enjoyable to play today.
I know some of you dislike anything related to AI. However, I think these AI-enhanced 4K texture packs are one of the best things we have gotten for classic games.
Because let’s be realistic here. Manually improving every texture in a game is a huge task for one modder. It can take a lot of time and effort, especially when the work is done for free. The modder also needs a lot of skill to stay close to the look the original artists wanted.
AI can make this much easier. It can improve many textures in far less time. I’m not saying modders should use AI in auto mode. They can then make manual changes where needed. For all our favourite classic games, though, AI may be one of the best tools we have gotten these past few years.
Anyway, you can go ahead and download the packs from here, here, and here. At the end of the article, you can also find videos for them. These videos have some before/after comparison scenes. So, make sure to watch them, as they can give you an idea of what you can expect from them.
You can also find AI-enhanced texture packs for many more games. For instance, we have packs for Far Cry 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Blood 2, Dark Souls 2, FEAR, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have also received their own. Then we have those for Resident Evil: Revelations, Revelations 2, Resident Evil HD REMASTER, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 7, and Tomb Raider: Legend. Let’s also not forget this one for Palworld and this one for Thief 2014. In September 2025, we also shared one for Fallout: New Vegas. On top of that, you can find similar mods for Baldur’s Gate 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA 4, NieR: Automata, and BioShock Infinite.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
