Palworld fans, here is something for you today. Modder Canarious has just released a 60GB 4K Texture Pack that overhauls all of the game’s textures.
The modder used AI tools to improve the original game’s textures. Because of this, the new textures still look like the old ones, just in higher quality. Some players might not like that. However, this kind of HD Texture Pack is a good example of when using AI tools makes sense.
This HD Texture Pack comes in two versions. The first version will overhaul all the textures and normal maps to 4K. The second version upscales the diffusion textures to 8K and the normal maps to 4K.
You can download the pack from this link. In my opinion, you should stick with the 4K version. There is no reason to get the 8K version. At least in my opinion.
Below, you can also find some comparison screenshots. The original textures are on the left, whereas the modded textures are on the right. These will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from this 4K Texture Pack.
Speaking of Palworld, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. Earlier this month, we shared a mod that enables AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation. Then we have this cool Spyro Mod. Praydog’s UEVR also appears to be working with Palworld, allowing you to experience it in VR. There is also this mod that adds Permadeath mechanics to the game. You can also play Palworld in first-person thanks to this mod. Finally, here’s how you can enable some Ray Tracing effects.
If you like AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs, there are a lot of great ones you should check out. In October 2023, both STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Half-Life 2 got amazing texture upgrades using AI. Then, in May 2024, fans released cool HD texture packs for Grim Fandango Remastered and BioShock Remastered.
There are also awesome AI-upgraded textures for Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. These mods will make these two classic MGS games look much better.
You can also find AI-enhanced texture packs for many more games, like Far Cry 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Blood 2, Dark Souls 2, FEAR, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have also received their own. And then we have those for Resident Evil: Revelations, Revelations 2, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Resident Evil 7, and Tomb Raider: Legend.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
