505 Games and Rebellion have released a new developer walkthrough for their upcoming sniper game, Sniper Elite V2. According to the devs, a new balistic system will be present in the game, meaning that players will have to take into consideration both gravity and wind while they’re taking their shots. Sounds interesting, however, we can’t help but notice some ‘features’ that will piss a lot of gamers. Third person covering system? Check. Melee take-downs similar to DE: HR? Check. Unpolished mechanics in various situations? Check. AI that is not as smart as you’d hoped to? Check. Oh, whatever. Enjoy the developer diary guys. A few hours ago, a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 video was uploaded to YouTube and although this is not footage from GSC’s upcoming gem, it’s definitely from a STALKER game. In case you are wondering, it’s from STALKER Online, an online addaptation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that is developed by CyberTime System and is built on the in-house BigWorld Engine. The game has been in development for quite some time and its Russian open beta phase has been running for quite some months. YouTube’s member ‘lmMonkeyGOD’ has managed to create an amazing, fan-made trailer for Battlefield 3. ImMonkeyGOD’s video is an entry to the “Only in Battlefield 3” Community Video Challenge that is currently underway and looks damn impressive. Well looky here, we got us a new, incredible fan-made Mass Effect trailer. YouTube member ‘xRaetastic’ felt the need to create a ‘random internet fan trailer’ for BioWare’s RPG series and we are pretty sure that he didn’t expect it to be featured in so many gaming sites. But we can’t help it as this particular fan-made trailer is one of the best edited things we have ever seen. There is perfect editing, wonderful choice of quotes and song that fits to it. Wolfire Games has released a new video, in which David Rosen shows off the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David added some knife hostage animations (replaces choke when using knife) and a throat cut (press attack during knife hostage), as well as one-handed body drag when wielding weapon. We’ve seen a lot of recreations in Minecraft but this one looks really lovely and ideal for all Zelda fans out there. Project Hyrulecraft is a 1:1 reconstruction of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Minecraft. This project has been in development since May 2011, with the intent of being hosted on a custom built server. The Hyrulecraft multiplayer server will feature many RPG and MMO aspects such as quests, classes, experience and leveling, and a fan-written storyline that continues the story after the events of OOT’s child timeline.
