Firaxis Games has released a new community video, in which Casey O’Toole, lead programmer for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, talks about the development of the game and its progression into the modern age. X-COM: Enemy Unknown will feature destructible tactical environments, interaction between the real-time strategic view and the turn-based combat, upgrades and improvements for XCOM capabilities as the war rages on, and is currently slated for an October release on current generation consoles and PC. Now I’m pretty sure that most of you will be wondering who the hell is RocketJump, right? YouTube’s particularly cynical online broadcaster ‘Totalbiscuit’ has visited Sony Online Entertainment studio in San Diego and captured some new footage from the alpha version of Planetside 2. Instead of showcasing fights in bright days though, Totalbiscuit focused on night-fights as those scenarios show off the new lighting system that Planetside 2’s engine supports. Although the game is still in alpha version, it looks lovely and we can’t wait to see a more polished version of it. Enjoy! THQ has released the second part of Death story’s trailer for Darksiders II. Darksiders II’s epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders. Grim Dawn is being made by ex-Titan Quest developers and has a lot of potential. With a successful Kickstarter campaign, Crate Entertainment decided to release a new, melee gameplay video for it. YouTube’s member ‘MrSolidSnake745’ is amazing, as he has managed to recreate – with the help of eight floppy drives – a lot of game music themes. I tell you, this guy is crazy and put a lot of work into this. His latest achievement is the recreation of Duke Nukem 3D’s theme and, ironically, it sounds pretty awesome. Well, time to find out what Blizzard has included in Diablo III, as YouTube’s member ‘AlexInSixty’ has uploaded an interesting new video of a hidden, secret level. Diablo III’s secret level is called Whimsyshire and is full of… unicorns. Yeap, you read that right. Blizzard to decided to troll those who called Diablo III ‘childish’ and offered a bright and colorful, cartoon-ish level that is filled with unicorns.
