Unknown Worlds has finally released Natural Selection 2. Natural Selection 2 is an immersive, multiplayer shooter that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival and it seamlessly combines shooter and RTS/strategy gameplay. This is a truly unique indie FPS, based on the Half-Life mod that was released – for free back then – a couple of years ago. The game is priced at 22.99 euros and can be purchased from Steam. Rovio has released the debut gameplay trailer of Angry Birds Star Wars. This video showcases what Luke and Leia will be able to do in Rovio’s puzzle game. Aventurine has released a new set of screenshots and a new trailer for its upcoming MMORPG, Darkfall: Unholy Wars. According to its press release, the video showcases the Deadeye school from the Skirmisher role, a class that is extremely skilled with the bow, and can utilize it to damage single targets or even small groups. Activision has released a new, live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This trailer is directed by Guy Ritchie and showcases the weapons and gadgets that will be featured in Treyarch’s FPS title. Ironically, this whole ‘surprise’ thing reminded us of Doakes’ classic line from TV-show Dexter, therefore we decided to also include it below. Refract Studios has unveiled the first gameplay footage from pre-alpha build of Distance, the spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush. The game takes the intense action of arcade racing and fuses it with the exploration of an atmospheric world, as players control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly to survive in a chaotic and twisted city. Our reader Jonathan Gustafsson has informed us about a mod that promises to bring Assassin’s Creed into GTA IV’s game engine. Created by “ShakingASS” and “terreur69”, this mod is still in early stages and as we can see below, there are no special moves for Altair, no crowd, no abilities to climb on walls, etc. Obviously we’re asking for too much as this will most probably be an Assassin’s Creed map and nothing more. But still, imagine if these two guys could implement such features. All in all, this mod – on its final stage – will give us a glimpe of what an Assassin’s Creed game could look like on the RAGE engine. Enjoy some early footage from it, captured by Jonathan himself!
