Now this is something cool and weird at the same time. YouTube’s member ‘SOULSLASHA’ is working on a mod for Dark Souls that will let players play it via a first person perspective viewpoint. As the modder suggests, this is a love hate relationship; while it certainly looks cool at times, it will make you dizzy the moment you perform a roll. Still, this is something unique and with some further tweaking, it could very well turn into an interesting mod. Enjoy a video showcasing this mod in action after the jump! Thanks to the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra, VR gaming is almost upon us. Indie developer ‘Teddy0k’ has posted a new video of his upcoming indie shooter/experimentation, HydraDeck: Cover Shooter, and we have to say that we were utterly impressed by it. Gaming will be entering a whole new level when Oculus Rift releases, and we cannot wait for it. The downside is that most players won’t be able to enjoy BF4 or other competitive shooters/games via this way for long periods of time. Still, the experience itself will be one of its kind. Enjoy! Martin Escageda shared with us a live action film that is based on Nyu Media’s upcoming fighting game, Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm. According to Martin, Nyu Media contacted him to create this live action short. While we acknowledge that a live action short based on a fighting game is quite challenging, we have to admit that we were let down by this movie’s first half. The second half – in which Martin Escageda tried to capture the game’s aesthetics – is better, though we’ve seen better. Still, it’s a good try so make sure to at least give it a go. Why you ask? Because despite its somehow disappointing end results, it’s pretty obvious that it took a lot of effort to create it. Enjoy! Continue reading Yatagarasu Gets A Live Action Short Film→
