What If Dead Space 3 Was Powered By CRYENGINE

Dead Space 3 was a game that did not wow PC gamers with its visuals. Sure thing, the game looked nice – especially with SweetFX – but the Visceral Engine felt dated and let’s not forget that the game lacked dynamic shadows. Polycount’s member ‘3DanArt’ decided to create some maps in CRYENGINE that were inspired by Visceral’s title, giving as a glimpse of what Dead Space 3 would look like in CRYENGINE. Enjoy! GTA IV Modded & Rendered At 2K Will Blow You Away, Looks Just As Good As Next-Gen Titles

After yesterday’s reveal, PC gamers were a bit disappointed with the visuals of Watch Dogs. Well, good thing we can use SweetFX to improve the game’s graphics the moment it gets out. What? You still don’t believe that SweetFX can significantly improve a game’s visuals? If so, go ahead and take a look at the following GTA IV screens that were rendered at 2K. And while vanilla GTA IV may look awful for today’s standards, GTA IV modded is easily one of the most impressive titles, rivaling even upcoming next-gen titles. Now imagine what the modders will achieve once GTA V releases on our platform. Kudos to Reddit’s users ‘HuntingPandas’ ‘Unreal’ and ‘TokesNoMo’ for capturing these screenshots (the Ferrari shot was rendered at 4K and not 2K)! Watch Dogs Comparison – Latest Build versus E3 2012 & June 2013 Builds

After releasing its latest trailer for Watch Dogs, Ubisoft was ‘criticized’ for dumbing down the visuals of its open-world title. Well, time to see how this latest build stands compared to the initial E3 2012 and the June 2013 builds. For what is worth, the latest ‘story’ trailer was based on the next-gen version of the game (or at least that’s what the official Playstation Twitter account claimed), meaning that this is what you’ll be getting on PS4, Xbox One and PC. GTA IV Rendered At 6K In Black & White Looks So Real Thanks To SweetFX

It’s pretty amazing what a few mods can achieve. DeadEndThrills hosted some amazing ‘black & white’ shots of GTA IV that you can easily mistaken them for real photos. We are not exaggerating here; these screenshots will make your jaw drop and start wondering how is it possible to turn an old game like GTA IV into something like this. In order to achieve these visuals, modders have rendered the game at 6K and used SweetFX’s monochome and vibrancy filters, L3EVO 2012NY ENB mod, Simple Trainer, Cam Control and a Custom FOV mod. The end result is spectacular, so take a deep breath and enjoy GTA IV like never before! Continue reading GTA IV Rendered At 6K In Black & White Looks So Real Thanks To SweetFX

Tom Clancy’s The Division – New Screenshot Surfaces

Ubisoft has just released a new screenshot for Tom Clancy’s The Division. Yes, it looks good but what worries me at this point is that since the game’s debut, Ubisoft has been really silent about it. Sure thing, we’ve been getting screenshots from the  environment that was initially unveiled, but we haven’t gotten any brand new information about it. The Division is planned for a 2014 release but I’m pretty sure that it will get delayed to 2015 given Ubisoft’s current stance. Enjoy! Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – All Ghillied Up Map Recreated In CRYENGINE

Crydev member ‘PianoPolish’ has recreated Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s All Ghillied Up map in CRYENGINE, giving us a glimpse of what a modern version of that map would look like. PianoPolish has managed to stay close to the original material, so kudos to him. We strongly believe, however, that PianoPolish should add more vegetation as the map feels somewhat ’empty’ in its current form. Good news is that this is still in early stage, so it will hopefully get even better. Enjoy! Continue reading Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – All Ghillied Up Map Recreated In CRYENGINE
