Okay, we already knew that Renegade Ops PC would be delayed. Avalanche Studios never stated a specific date for the game’s PC version and Steam has just informed us that the game will be released sometime next month. Tripwire released yesterday a new update for their FPS multiplayer military sim game, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. This latest update offers significantly improved VOIP system and client performance optimizations and will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. It’s great that Tripwire is fixing this bug-fest, so hopefully we’ll see more patches with even more performance optimizations. You can view the entire changelog after the jump. THQ released the first patch for their third person action game that is based on Warhammer’s universe, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. According to the company, this patch is aimed at addressing some of the issues that the community has reported since the game’s launch. Square Enix released yesterday a new update for their acclaimed first person action adventure RPG, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and – among other things – fixes crashes when examining quest items and a specific issue that caused performance degradation for some DX9 players in the 1.2.630 patch. Well, it took Blizzard a whole day – after the release of the hacked server – but get ready everyone and start checking your emails because the closed beta phase of Diablo III is officially live. Now. Invitations to participate in the beta test are now being delivered to the chosen heroes. As with beta tests for other Blizzard Entertainment games, the testing process for Diablo III will occur in phases. In addition to selecting players who have opted in via their Battle.net accounts, Blizzard will also be providing keys through beta promotions and giveaways. Crytek announced today the winners of its first CryDev’s official competition and we have some screenshots of these winning maps. Coming in at number 3 is The Vulture with his Cry-Museum, a map that is basically a room of small cabinets with Crysis assets scaled down and made into small scenes. At number 2 is Duruk with his Journey to the sun, a map that is inspired by Alien (first movie when the ship goes into alert), Deadspace, Solaris & Sunshine. Ubisoft has just released a new Q&A video, in which Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ lead scriptwriter, Darby McDevitt, reveals the relationship between Altair and Ezio. Altair and Ezio are not in the same exact plotline and are not related directly but they come from different bloodlines. Think of it as Ezio coming from Desmond’s father side while Altair coming from Desmond’s mother side. Assassin’s Creed: Revelation is slated for a November release on X360, PS3 and hopefully PC – that is if it doesn’t get delayed at the last minute.
