Gamespot has posted a 10 minutes gameplay footage from Metro: Last Light, showcasing a new area called ‘The Swamp’. Our guess is that this gameplay footage will be available during GDC (or PAX East), and it has scenes from a previous leaked gameplay footage we posted a while ago. Remember the teaser website of Modern Warfare 4? Well, it appears that it was valid as a new poster has appeared (kudos to Insomnia’s Psycho_Warhead for spotting it) today, hinting at an incoming announcement/reveal on March 21st. Not only that, but it seems that four studios are working on it: Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games and Neversoft. Naturally, the game will be published by Activision. The poster also indicates that Activision will reveal more during PAX East (or GDC), otherwise there wouldn’t be a poster for just the fan-made movie reveal. Deep Silver has released a new, in-game, trailer for Techland’s upcoming zombie game, Dead Island: Riptide. Having survived the ordeals of the zombie infestation on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi the group of survivors thought they had finally found a safe place to escape from this terrifying nightmare. However, shortly after the battle-hardened team had landed their helicopter on a military ship, a furious storm hits and havoc quickly spreads on board. The survivors, along with newcomer John Morgan, find themselves struggling for their lives again, stranded on the secluded island of Palanai. Now this really interesting. Steam has announced an early access program for a number of upcoming games, with which players can interact with the developers and influence the development of a game. Contrary to pre-order, early access is an immediate purchase of a game and gives the ability to the player to immediately download its latest build and experiment with it. This is precisely what is currently happening with Bohemia’s military sim, ArmA 3, and there are currently 11 more games supporting this new access program. Phillip Meyer has informed us about his upcoming PC Zeldalike Roguelike game, King Voxel. King Voxel will feature a unique cel shaded voxel graphics engine, a world generator, and dynamic camera controls, all of which are created by Phillip himself. The official website of Battlefield 4 has gone live today, however its source code includes a hidden message that made some laugh and others cry out loud. It appears that IGN has already a promo article for DICE’s upcoming FPS title, suggesting that EA has partnered with IGN in order to promote it. That, or a DICE has already held a press event and showcased its title to a number of gaming portals, meaning that preview articles will start popping out in a couple of days.
