Success: Riot Games – developers of League of Legends – is against SOPA/PIPA

After Epic Games, Riot Games has gone public and stated that they are against both SOPA and PIPA. This is huge and we hope that more developers will follow the example of these companies. Fans recreate Sonic X-Treme, the cancelled Saturn game

Back in the 32bit days, Sonic X-Treme was meant to drive Saturn sales to new heights. Unfortunately, SEGA decided to cancel the game as it was not up to the Sonic standards. That didn’t seem enough though, as fans decided to recreate this cancelled Saturn game on the PC. So, Sonic fans, meet Project AXSX. Hitman: Absolution will feature a hardcore, purist stealth mode

After watching the E3 2011 footage, we felt a bit underwhelmed about the latest adventures of Hitman. You see, one of the main concerns about the upcoming Hitman game was its gameplay direction and whether or not the stealth mechanics have been dumbed down. To make things worse, an ‘Eagle mode’ was present that felt out of place, especially for a Hitman game. If you were one of those disappointed fans, rejoice. Why? Demo for indie action-puzzle game, Dead Hungry Diner, is now available

Black Market Games released the demo of Dead Hungry Diner, a fun and fast paced action-puzzler with a fresh approach to restaurant management. Players will guide Gabe and Gabby, the orphan twins, and discover the secrets of Ravenwood village. The final version will feature 55 Levels across 5 worlds, two playable characters, in-game tutorial, a Story and an Endless mode, variety of Unique Monster Customers, Spells and Abilities to overcome challenges, as well as unlockable Upgrades for Spells. Tomb Raider ‘unique location-based adventures’ coming from Crystal Dynamics and Geocaching.com

Crystal Dynamics, a Square Enix studio, announced today that it is working with Geocaching.com, a Groundspeak project as part of its campaign for the upcoming release of TOMB RAIDER. Geocaching represents a rapidly growing community of over 5 million participants seeking over 1.6 million active geocaches hidden globally in locations such as Times Square, the Berlin Wall, and Great Wall of China. Half-Life 2 Cinematic Mod 11 Is Now Available

Juergen Vierheilig released the latest version of his Cinematic Mod for Half-Life 2. As always, some will like it while others might hate it. Still, this is an amazing overhaul for Half-Life 2 and if you haven’t tried it yet, we’d urge you to. Cinematic 11 Mod is a graphical / music total overhaul, as it looks and sounds very different compared to vanilla HL2 and you can view some comparison shots and videos from this latest version bellow. Robert Bowling reveals that only a very small percentage of players took advantage of the prestige token glitch

The prestige token glitch is one of the worst glitches ever in Modern Warfare 3. It was this glitch that led Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games to ban some users for taking advantage of it. Given its publicity, we’d expect to see a huge number from players exploiting this glitch, but Robert Bowling has just revealed that the actual percentage of the gamers who were caught exploiting it, is only 0.1%, which means that 99.9% of MW3 players are playing it fair and square.
