Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved - and still does - the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. Man, what a blow. Bioshock: Infinite was considered one of the best shooters (not THE best, but one of the best) of 2014. You’d expect that Irrational Games would be in a great place, however this legendary studio is shutting down. This was revealed by Ken Levine himself. Irrational Games is no more.

NASCAR ’14 Now Available On PC, PS3 & X360

Deep Silver announced today that NASCAR ’14 is now available on PC, X360 and PS3. According to the company, players can look forward to new online leagues, skill-based matchmaking gameplay, improved single-player AI and soon, a free patch to align NASCAR ’14 with the new Sprint Cup Chase rules and updated driver roster.

Nvidia has released a new set of WHQL drivers for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, Nvidia’s GeForce 334.89 WHQL drivers come with some new SLI and 3D profiles. In case you’re wondering, no: there is no SLI profile for Titanfall’s beta as of yet.

Illusionstar Games Chooses CRYENGINE over Unreal Engine 4, Has Two Titles Under Development

IllusionStar Games has announced that after months of testing both Unreal Engine 4 and CRYENGINE, the later engine will be the official game engine for all its titles. The company did not reveal why it has chosen Crytek’s engine over Epic’s engine, however it did confirm that it is currently working on two unannounced titles.
