NVIDIA Will Fully Implement Async Compute Via Driver Support, Oxide Confirms

Well, here is some good news for NVIDIA users. It appears that NVIDIA will fully implement Async Compute via an upcoming driver. As Oxide’s developer “Kollock” wrote on Overclock.net, NVIDIA has not fully implemented yet Async Compute in its driver, and Oxide is working closely with them in order to achieve that.

It appears that after the whole 970 VRAM fiasco, there is a new story that haunts NVIDIA. As we’ve already reported, NVIDIA’s GPUs are really weak in Async Compute scenarios. And according to some Oculus employees, Preemption for context switches is possibly catastrophic for NVIDIA’s GPUs.

You know what? Even though Konami has hired Troy Baker and Kiefer Sutherland for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, I still find the Japanese voices to be superior. And thankfully, Konami has included the Japanese Voice pack in the Steam version of the game.

DOOM – New Trailer Focuses On The SnapMap Editor

Bethesda has released a new trailer for id Software’s DOOM that focuses on its SnapMap Editor. The SnapMap Editor aims to offer everyone the ability to create levels that can be played on all platforms. Unfortunately, id Software won’t release any additional mod tools for DOOM. DOOM is currently planned for a Spring 2016 release!
