Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth new feature

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth appears to be well optimized on PC, doesn’t have stutters, runs with over 90fps at Native 4K/Max on NVIDIA RTX4090

SEGA has just released Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on PC.  As such, we’ve decided to quickly test the game on our NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, and share our initial PC performance impressions.

For these initial tests, I’ve used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz, and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090. I also used Windows 10 64-bit, and the GeForce 551.23 driver. Moreover, I’ve disabled the second CCD on our 7950X3D

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is powered by the Dragon Engine. For our benchmarks, we’ll be using the first open-world area in the first Chapter. This area should give us a pretty good idea of how the rest of the game runs.

Now the good news here is that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 can push over 90fps at all times at Native 4K/Max Settings. Not only that but we did not experience any stutters while exploring the city. Yes, you won’t even experience any shader compilation stutters. After all, the game will compile its shaders the first time you launch it.

What’s also interesting here is that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth supports both AMD FSR 3.0 and NVIDIA DLSS 3. As such, we’ll be sure to test them and share our opinion in a separate article. And yes, there is also support for Intel XeSS.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is also looking better than the previous Like a Dragon/Yakuza game, The Man Who Erased His Name. What impressed me the most, at least in the early parts of the game, was the interiors. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has improved them thanks to a more advanced lighting system.

However, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth can’t compete with the graphical juggernauts that came out on PC last year. And no, the game does not support any Ray Tracing effects.

Still, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth leaves a solid and pleasant first impression. And don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad-looking game. However, it’s no match for Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing or Alan Wake 2.

Finally, I’m curious to see whether FSR 3.0 will be able to come close to DLSS 3. So, stay tuned for more!
