Rockstar Games has just updated its Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as its website with a new image, hinting towards a new Red Dead game. Yeap, from the looks of it, a new Red Dead game may be announced soon.
Of course this isn’t the first time we’re hearing about a new Red Dead game, however this is the first official image teasing it.
Back in November 2015, an ex-Rockstar employee claimed that Rockstar’s next game is the sequel to Red Dead Redemption.
In April 2016, a map was leaked that was reported to be from this new Red Dead game. Red Dead Redemption 2 is rumoured to be a prequel as it is set prior to the events of Red Dead Redemption.
Some rumours suggest that this new Red Dead game will be called Red Dead Retribution, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
According to reports, Rockstar may reveal the project that is being teased in this image tomorrow (take this with a grain of salt), so stay tuned for more!

Dammit, I have to upvote this guy.
he’s wrong tho, I’m pretty sure PS4 pro version is also in 2017
Depends on how much they think they can get away with, IMO, so, arguable, really, but, sure, maybe.
After the huge amount of money “R” did on pc for GTAV, i wouldn’t be surprised if it was planned for an early release.
AGAHASHAHAHAHAHA sorry pc gamers this masterpiece is only console 😉
Game never even got announced but you’re calling it a masterpiece. Troll level: novice.
You have really nothing better to do with you time eh…i mean coming on a pc oriented website bashing pc and you are more active here than many other commenters and yet the only thing you choose doing is being an jerk, how pathetic your life might be i cant imagine how frustrated you must be i think im finally figuring you out,you are like someone obssesed with gays always bashing gays and hating them because in your subconcious you are gay and you are trying to supress and deny ur sexual preference by hating and bashing gays…in other words you wish you had a good pc you wish you were a pc gamer and this is your cry for help you console does not satisfy you,if your console would satisfy you,you wouldnt be here and you would not care you would just enjoy yourself, but you dont your subconcious is trying to tell you there are better options but you are too afraid of changes because changes scares you
Think about it
Can i use this as a copy&paste?
of course man 🙂
The sad thing is he always getting beaten, he does not win even once, he always loses.
Walikor is so sad his momma doesn’t give him/her more money to buy a pc. Therefore he has to come here and vent his feelings about supposed superiority of his “next gen” $400 30 fps barely 1080p hardware.
Such is life, some people are destined to be bitter peasants.. Almost brings a tear to my eye. Almost.
I dont see how they made the rage engine used in all gta games, RDR has the first version of the engine, max payne 3 shipped with the latest one beating gta v and gta v remaster shipped with the upgraded one. This time that consoles are like pcs the pc version will come out faster.
and your beloved console need this kind of exclusive or else there isn’t much of a reason of owning a console.
I didn’t know this site was covering exclusive console releases.
I didn’t know this site was covering *hostageware.
Right, we’re going to have to “convince” Rocksteady to bring Red Dead “2” to the PC with a petition!
Y’know, “in order to show that there’s actual interest in it” >.>
Or maybe this time it’ll be an all-out Kickstarter? LOL.
Oh, i was just going to call a Hostage Rescue Task Force.
That could work! O.o
3700K GTX 970 8 GB RAM for max settings 1440p 60 fps and core i7 6700k gtx 1080 16 gb for 4k max settings 60 fps! These will be the official requirements.
Even peasant consoles can do 4K these days… if your PC can’t support 8K, it’s ancient.
They will do 4k but only on low or medium settings nto max settigns that pc can do. My 2500k 4.2 ghz gtx 970 g1 gaaming 4gb 12 gb ddr 3 1600 mhz can run games at 4k but most of therm on medium instead of ultra. However it runs evrything on ultra at 1440p, That why
when 4 months ago i bought new monitor i bought 1440p instead of 4k due to the very high requiremenents 4k max settings has. I will upgrade my pc in 2017 when pci 4.0 motherboards release but i will change graphics card in 2018 when the true 4k-8 cards relese the nvidia gtx volta that will have 16-32 gb vram. However the first 8k monitors will come next year but they will be too expensive for many of us. So only cpu ram and motherboard upgrade for 2017 then gpu in 2018 and 4k monitor in 2019 or 2020 if their price until then is not more than 500 or 600 euros. That my plan about my next pc upgrade. Do you agree with it?
Probably consoles only…i just want the original on pc
I want bully 2 🙁
Too busy making max payne 3.
>PC
NEVER
why never? Bully happened
no pc version rockstar hate pc gaming
I will find you when the pc version releases.
ok so…never LOL
After GTA V massive success on PC RS is not going to ignore PC.
Imagine the unimaginable – there are people like me who have never played GTA V. And it has already been a year and a half since release!
Why are you so triggered that the supreme pc version was released two years later than inferior peasants version?
Better wait 2 years for polished superior version than rushed buggy unoptimized mess of a port or nothing (peaboxes’ exclusives).
Hey, my pirated copy was worth the wait :^)
thank god for that.
Sure it was. Considering your history of being a trash c*nt who begs for sh*t over on warez sites.
Was that really necessary? :v
I know it wasn’t. But it’s the sort of language these trolls understand. I’d rather have this place filled with intelligent and decent people than these guys.
Valid, but going down the route of using the same language and/or lack of respect wouldn’t bring even more nastiness?
Yeah, you’re right. Probably should’ve ignored him and not fallen for it. Now he’ll respond to me… ugh.
Quick, think of puppies!
(thinking of puppies intensifies)
lel
He has a history on begging on warez sites?
Check his feed and sort past the political sites to the bottom.
So the master race needs to wait two years to play a game? Sounds pretty leet m8.
Obviously there are still people that have yet to play GTA V, but that doesn’t nullify the fact that many had to wait cause they wanted it on PC, as for the “at least the port is good thanks to delay” argument there are already many AAA games that are great on PC without delay so there is no NEED for it if they cared enough about PC and that’s the point.
it’s not really about getting triggered, it’s about the fact that they have enough data to back up their attitude toward PC. of course their success on PC may also lead them to care about PC more, it can go both ways.
I followed you upto the part where you mentioned Rockstar disregarding the PC platform. But then you said this:
“You got the PC version even later than PS4 and Xbox One and still happily paid for it like a loyal corporate dog.”
So basically by your logic anyone who bought GTA V to enjoy it on his or her PC automatically became a “loyal corporate dog”, is that it? Did it ever occur to you that not everyone needs to spout some f*cking political agenda drivel when it comes to making video game purchases and some people just want to play a game on their platform of choice? Who the f*ck are you to judge?
Honestly, GTAV is just sh*t, so if you actually bought it 1.5 years (September 2013-April 2015) after initial release, then yeah, you are a loyal corporate dog.
Either that, or you just have bad taste, because seriously, 1.5 years should be more than enough time for you to look at GTAV feedback, gameplay videos, etc. & realise what a piece of sh*t the game truly is (unless you can’t, because you’re a Rockstar sycophant, or or a GTA sycophant, or whatever).
Disclaimer: Obviously not “you” as in YOU, Gibs, just “you” as in “you”, y’know. (Obvious disclaimer because Internet.) 😛
“Honestly, GTAV is just sh*t, so if you actually bought it 1.5 years (September 2013-April 2015) after initial release, then yeah, you are a loyal corporate dog.”
— I really don’t think that’s accurate judgment. People like different things. I do not see the reason to belittle others because of it. No one buys games for the sake of “loyalty” towards a company, but for the sake of personal enjoyment.
“Either that, or you just have bad taste”
— Taste is subjective, as mentioned before. What people do with their money is upto them. They should not be ridiculed or insulted for it.
Summary version; “Taste is subjective” – fully agree. Might have been better to go with something more like this below, but I really wanted to stress that point this time around (people buying sh*t games, even though they should be fully aware that what they’re buying is sh*t by that point, either because they’re sycophants, they have bad taste (subjective), or just because they’re idiots);
When you have a year & a half worth of footage, feedback, etc. the only reason you’re going to buy a game is because you truly believe it’s worth buying, not because you don’t know what to expect, or whatever.
Why you truly believe it’s worth buying varies from person to person (just like taste, it’s a subjective thing), but “loyal corporate dog” is definitely one of those categories, as there are people who buy games based purely on who’s making them, just like people will queue up to watch a movie based solely on the director attached to it (& how people will ardently defend that particular movie &/or game to hell & back no matter how sh*t most people may find it to be), etc. etc. etc.
“but “loyal corporate dog” is definitely one of those categories, as there are people who buy games based purely on who’s making them”
So let them. But painting everyone with the same brush is wrong. Some folks waited specifically BECAUSE they liked the game for what it was, or because they wanted to play the definitive version on PC. I see no problem with that and I think PC gaming is what it is because of it.
You didn’t read my comment properly. I didn’t defend Rockstar, I’m defending the people who have bought the game because they happened to like it, yet you called them “corporate dogs” as if anyone that doesn’t spin your agenda automatically becomes a corporate dog. Keep your politics out of the games. You don’t want anything to do with the game, that’s fine. Don’t take on the responsibility of judging others when it wasn’t given to you.
And as far as I’m concerned you have a rather rabid mentality because you can’t accept the fact that most people do not pretend to make political statements when buying games or just prefer to play on PC, regardless of the game. Have a good day.
Yup, it’s not 2010 anymore, PC is a way bigger platform now.
The PC game industry makes more money than *all* the consoles combined and has been doing so for years now. Peasants are in the minority.
But being as the consoles have large companies like MS and Sony putting massive amounts of effort in to advertising, it wouldn’t seem like PC is larger to a passer by. Basically consoles are all smoke and mirrors.
“The PC game industry makes more money than *all* the consoles combined ”
That’s an interesting claim, but how is the money distributed towards developers? It seems to me PC players are enriching the pockets of guys like Notch, for example, while ubisoft gets pitiful sales (yeah, they are crappy devs, etc, etc)
It will be released with consoles no doubt, thank me later
Actually that’s exactly why they will ignore in the first year!
Which is 2 years of revenue lost from their online services. They won’t wait again.
Well according to you, there is no way to change their views.
honestly i don’t know. isn’t that 2k have some kind of deal with console maker to maker this franchise as console exclusive? if they are not then the first game will already got PC port. GTA series has been on pc since the very beginning
And if i told you many pc gamers also own at least on console to not miss out some exclusives?
And anyway if there is no pc version then its no big deal
Playstation dont have forza, halo and gear of war
Xbox dont have god of war, uncharted and bloodborn
And nintendo exclusives are nowhere(untill emulator emulate them on pc)
And yet people keep gaming on pc
Makes you wonder eh?
Im one of those people 🙂 i hate peasant boxes, overpriced doorstops honestly
This isn’t 2010 anymore, ignoring PC ain’t do easy these days.
And we’ve gotten a port of all their games since, with the last 2 being amazingly good.
You mean like how this isn’t 2010 anymore, so Bethesda can’t keep using that antiquated piece of sh*t engine again for a new, major AAA like Fallout 4?
I’d honestly be more surprised if they did announce a PC version at the same time as the console versions, than not, just like I was seriously shocked to see Bethesda still using that ridiculous joke of an engine for Fallout 4, instead of id Tech 5, 6, or something else, even.
This is Rocksteady we’re talking about; as long as they’re arrogant enough to believe they can get away with it, &/or that they’ll make money by doing it, they’re going to do it.
Pun intended?
Fallout 4 was in development before Steam get as big as it is now (with new refund policy among others) during the “all hail Skyrim” era. they had no idea Witcher 3 is gonna be the new king and now thanks to it all the issues they had are finally magnified. are they gonna keep ignoring the issues? maybe, but chances of it are lower.
Rockstar though is even a bigger monster, so they are gonna have an easier time doing whatever they want and get away with it.
Logic dictates Bethesda’s next game will be on a different engine, I agree (whatever that engine may be).
On the other hand, the video game industry’s ever-present laziness, disrespect towards its consumer-base, etc. etc. etc. dictates it could really still go either way, IMO.
Rockstar, likewise. They might not go for a double-dipping strategy (again), but I highly doubt it.
Even as someone who owns a PS4 (don’t judge me, I couldn’t ignore Bloodborne), I refuse to play it on anything but PC. Not gonna play into R*’s hand of trying to get me to buy it twice. Hopefully we get a remaster/port of the original along with a sequel.
GRAB HIM!

Pure gold. I’m bookmarking this so I can steal it from you at some point 😛
If only there was a sickle on the picture.
Then a joke could be made relating everything to communism. xP
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
bloodborne lost all its spark for me when they got over the gothic setting and revealed the game to be another souls game.
if its R* top quality like GTA V and Max Payne 3 i am gonna buy it
HA. Good One
The amount of money rockstar has made with GTA v on the pc and still is making there are not going to pass up on money and profit. This game is coming to PC. Plus we shouldn’t be hype because rockstar has not show us nothing and also this game might not be released until 2018.
it will be on PC 100 percent, I bet $500 worth of steam wallet that it will be on PC
Ok then give them to me! Bcecuae i am sure it will be on pc to if pc verison is announced at the same time with console version like i am sue it will then you will give me 500 euros on my steam wallet! Deal? or are you afraid?
yes, i bet it will be announced from the get go on PC, now, you’ll give me $500 steam wallet if i’m right
same year or 2 years later? you need to clarify your bet
lol the console version would always come before PC. The AAA market revolves around consoles not PC. This is not always neccessarily bad. But it does mean you need to w8 much longer to play the same game on PC.

As big as Rockstar is they can pretty much do whatever they want and be fine. But isn’t it standard practice to wait for a trade show and then announce the release date? I can’t think of any Gaming shows coming up (the Sony one I guess) in the near future.
??????????
I dont see why you think that. Now that the consoles are like pcs and the engine is pc friendly why wouldnt there be a pc version? They released bully on pc for crying out loud.
For the same reason GTAV took so long to arrive on PC; because they think they’ll make more money by stalling it for as long as possible.
Ill repeat max payne 3 shipped with the latest version of the engine not gta v. Then they re made it, at the end of it the pc version of gta v was top notch. Now that the consoles are like pcs it stands to reason the pc version wont take as long.
I doubt it’s about how long it takes to make, as much as it is about stalling it for as long as possible in order to get those extra console sales before you’re inevitably forced to announce that the PC version even exists, as was the case with GTA V.
Remember how originally it was just announced for the PS3 & X360? They weren’t even talking about the PS4 & XONE versions at first, all while denying that they had any plans for a PC version. Then they put out the new-gen console versions, & only then, in turn, did they finally start discussing the PC version.
It wasn’t a tech issue, it was a “we want more money from you” issue, through-&-through.
I just hope that now, after seeing GTA V selling ridiculously well on PC, they will actually put enough resources to release the game simultaneously on console & PC.
Okay, but if they don’t release the first RDR on PC, we’re still screwed.
release Red Dead Collection for PC!
Red dead retribution
Yeah, on paper, sure. In practice, the problem is, well, basically, that list;
– League of Legends; F2P, MMO, PC-exclusive.
– CrossFire; F2P, online-only, PC-exclusive.
– Dungeon Fighter Online; F2P, online-only, PC-exclusive.
– World of Warcraft; Subscription-based + micro-transaction shop, MMO, PC-exclusive.
– World of Tanks; F2P, online-only, multi-platform (formerly PC-exclusive).
– Lineage I; F2P, MMO, PC-exclusive (Windows + Mac).
– Maplestory; F2P, MMO, PC-exclusive.
– DOTA 2; F2P, online-only, PC-exclusive (Windows, OS X, Linux).
– Counter-Strike: Global Offensive; Paid, offline + online, multi-platform (trinity + OSX, Linux).
– Grand Theft Auto V; Paid, offline + online, multi-platform (trinity).
As long as the PC industry “as a whole” makes more money than consoles, but multi-platform “pay-up-front” AAA titles only generate as many sales as each individual console title (ergo as long as PC “only” accounts for 30-33% of the total sales pie), PC will still not be THE platform for non-F2P AAA developers, regardless of the fact that they generate greater revenues off of each PC sale than they do each console sale, since it’s far cheaper to make a game for the two console platforms at the same time, & then port it over to PC later.
Plus, Microsoft &/or Sony bribe them (well, their parent company publisher, technically, but yeah) for timed exclusivity many times, or even flat-out exclusivity sometimes, which gives them a good relationship, which results in things like “hey, don’t make the PC version look too good, ya feel me?”, whereas the PC has, at best, Nvidia &/or AMD sending over engineers to make the game play better primarily on their specific cards.
Not to mention the fact that most of the listed games have an overwhelmingly Asian playerbase, compared to the more US/EU playerbase that “Western AAA” games tend to attract.
What you said about console companies paying developers to make pc versions not as good as they should is not something that is happening lot of times. Especialy now that microsoft is brining all of it games on pc we have one of the console makers at our side while before they were our enemies. As about controller and keyboard and mouse support soon this will not be a issue anymore because Valve will finaly add official support for ps and xbox controller on steam ensuring that all games new and old will work with controllers like they do with keyboard and mouse. Of couse console versions are easier to make due to only 2 consoles being out at the same time while pc have many cpus rams and gpus but it has always beem this way since 80’s that the first pc’s and console appeared. That because we have new cpu ram and gpu releases for pc each year while consoles stay the same for many years but after 4 decades of gaming i am sure developers are used to it. Even if pc version sales of each game is only 30% the profit through steam is more than the same sales of console verison as you said already. But this is starting to change at least for denuvo game due to it preventing piracy for months so pc sales at least of these games will be much higher than 30%. due to delay of piracy like it has been proved with rise of the tomb raider who sold 3 times more on pc than xbox after one month of release.
Jesus, has nobody heard of paragraphs lately? What is this.
Microsoft still wants to sell Xbox’s more than they care about the PC, as far as I’m concerned, so while they no doubt look forward to making other games that look as good as (if not even better than) Gears 4, I highly doubt they’re about to sponsor the next Crysis, now, or at any point in the future.
The bit on controllers wasn’t about mouse/keyboard support, it was about the current mindset the industry has with its console-first development approach; “does it fit onto a controller? No? Then we’re not doing it.” That’s a separate issue entirely from the sloppy M/K support we keep getting in the form of a lack of remappable keybindings, etc. Besides, what does Valve adding support for controller onto Steamworks have to do with idiot developers not doing proper M/K support on their sh*tty PC ports, anyway?
Except, before the X360/PS3 generation, PC-console cross-platform games were extremely rare. You’d occasionally come across a PC-Xbox game, or a PlayStation-PC game, but they were the exception to the rule, not THE rule, the way they became once the industry basically went multi-platform almost overnight with the X360/PS3 generation. Likewise, consoles used to get a refresh just about when they started lagging behind PC hardware (each refresh used to contain the most cutting-edge hardware of the time, if you can believe that), & that’s not exactly happening anymore, either.
As I said, the PC makes more per-sale, sure, but as long as AAA games continue to be multi-platform focused (not to mention as long as Microsoft &/or Sony keep bribing developers), greedy-as-hell publishers will continue to develop around the lowest common denominator, & “upscale” from there for more powerful hardware specs. I.E. they will continue their consoles-first, PC’s second mindset, so long as consoles continue to lag behind the PC’s hardware specifications, as they will continue to be the weakest link in the chain, all while still being considerably cheaper to develop for due to their “2-for-1” nature, no matter what.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Denuvo delusions, right, sure thing, whatever.
To state (quote) the obvious; “Xbox One sales were “soft” due to [Rise of the Turd Raider] launching same day as Fallout 4.”
lol only free to play o mmorpg
sorry to say but pc can’t handle the AAA games industry 😉
Your sad “opinion” is nothing more than the prattle & musing of a lowly plebeian who is too ignorant to know better.
Yep, I’m a huge souls fan.
lol, late for response (only read this now) but i notice that PC games make it big with online games mostly (mmo, MOBA, online fps, etc) so that makes single player be dominant on consoles for now.
