The team behind the cancelled Resident Evil 2 Reborn project announces a new game

Invader Studios, the team behind the fan-made remake for Resident Evil 2 that was cancelled, has announced Daymare: 1998; a hardcore survival horror experience inspired by the visual style and the atmosphere evoked by 1990’s cult movies.

Daymare: 1998 is based on the cancelled Resident Evil 2 Reborn project (you will easily notice some similarities), is built on the Unreal Engine 4 and is currently under development for the PC.

According to the press release, Daymare: 1998 also boasts the contribution of Capcom’s former game artist Satoshi Nakai (Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil Code Veronica) who is currently working on the design of the deadly creatures that will haunt the game.

Invader Studios has released the first trailer for Daymare: 1998 that can be viewed below.
