The closed beta phase for Need For Speed is under way and YouTube’s ‘Frita Play’ has shared a video, showing 8 minutes of new gameplay footage. Now while the beta is currently available only on PS4 and Xbox One, the following video will undoubtedly give you an idea of what you can expect from this new Need For Speed game. Nope, no downgrade; I played it on my LED 1080P TV on a bud’s PS4 and game looks spectacular, just like in trailers. Thing is there’s NDA for the occasional bugs, balance issues and graphical glitches because it’s an old build of the game.
Did you enjoy the game? I actually found it quite dull (nothing innovative).

I just hope the delay means better optimization and unlocked FPS. It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited for a new NFS. The customization of this game looks superb 🙂
It’s a front for timed console exclusivity and it’s genius because of how well timed it is, everyone is so desperate for a working PC game that they’re eating this up. This is built on Frostbite 3, which worked fantastically in Battlefield and has every possible feature for a good PC game, including uncapped FPS.
While true and I agree to some extent, but still this is the first game to use proper FMV overlay with gameplay though. On console its frame rate capped for a reason to sync gameplay with the FMV. Now with the newer delayed PC version id imagine they would need to go back and reprogram the entire game to get variable frame rates synced with FMV.
