Contrary to last year’s ‘9 million’ record, this one was not caused by a sudden traffic boost or anything like that. Steam keeps growing, showing why the PC platform is nowadays a platform that most publishers and developers want to support.
As we can see below, DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive were the most popular (aka most played) games on March 13th. Team Fortress 2 was in third place, followed by Football Manager 2015, Civilization V, the recently released city builder Cities: Skylines and PAYDAY 2.

It’s called cloud streaming, it’s not hard to code for xbox one anymore since the same architecture as PC and with directx12 you can port games over in a single day. Do some research buddy :).

What a great time to be a PC gamer. Well, same as any time actually, but now we got full attention from everyone.
Yeah, but do you not find it ironic that most of those games are “free to play” DRM trash? And most of those games look worse than console graphics. Those games can run on cheap laptops.
This just goes to show how full of sh*t and dumb the PC fanboy community is. 9 million is not that impressive when you think about how many PCs are in the wild. PC is a giant mess of hacking, piracy, and DRM. That is why devs are going “free to play”. It stops piracy but is still vulnerable to hacks. PC holds back PC with it’s fractured market. Most PC gamers don’t own expensive gaming rigs or buy AAA titles. That is why developers don’t take advantage of high end cards. I will never support digital only stores. Once your account gets stolen, it’s over. Good luck haulling around your giant PC tower and dealling with allways online DRM.
Console is the safest and most balanced platform to game on. PC is good for mods and maximum graphics tweaking.

Anyways when a PS3 game just sold 5 millions but console sales reach 70 millions, its clear at least 50% of more PS3 owners are second hand buyers, companies doesnt receive a penny from that sales. F2P games at least get money from microtransactions.
