As you already know, Konami and NVIDIA have showcased the PC version of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes at an event in Akihabara. While there is still no video footage from the PC version, Steam user ‘gurapo‘ has shared some new details from that event.
As gurapo claimed, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes runs on DirectX11 and will have an framerate option via which PC gamers can select either 30fps or 60fps.
View distance seems to be improved on the PC version of MGS: GZ, and there may be some tessellation effects for the ground/terrain.
In addition, the game will support multi-monitor setups from the get-go.
It’s pretty unclear whether there will be any NVIDIA features – such as HBAO+. To be honest, we expect to see both HBAO+ and TXAA as MGS: GZ is advertised as a TWIMTBP title.
Last but not least, Konami will make an announcement regarding Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes tomorrow. If we had to guess, we’d say that this announcement will be about the PC version (price, PC requirements and first images/videos).

True experience, when bringing up MGS in any way, is the ability to play it in Any way. I would of been happy even if they ported it 1-1, but with the PC resolutions and controls in mind, but they actually put some efford in it too? NICE!

Depending on whether you can fine tune or turn it off, I’d say this would be a resource hog on older hardware.
MGS2 was soooooo bad on the PC. I promised myself I would never play another Kojima title on the PC. Kojima was lucky the net back then isn’t what it is today.
Man who cares about HBAO+. It’s just a shtty feature that darkens a few areas of the game and it’s barely noticeable unless you do some direct comparisons.
Would be nice if they will use rest of the gameworks features.
HBAO+ is by far the best visually Ambient Occlusion. Also I agree more GameWorks features would be nice.

JUST UNLOCK THAT SH*T, GOD DAMN! That’s like going to a shop to buy a bike and they offer you the choice between two and four training wheels. No, I want ZERO training wheels. There is no right number to lock the FPS to, locking the FPS is inherently a flaw. In the time they spent making the non-standard option work they could have aswell removed the nonsense that causes problems at different framerates altogether. Physics, animations, weapon fire rate, I don’t know what features they were foolish enough to design dependent on framerate but they should have just removed those dependencies.
