CD Projekt RED has revealed the official PC system requirements for The Witcher 3 Remastered. The requirements cover all graphics modes, from Rasterization to Ray Tracing and Path Tracing. So, let’s take a look at them.
To run The Witcher 3 Remastered, PC gamers will need an Intel Core i5 8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, an AMD Radeon RX 5500XT, or an Intel Arc A580. With this PC setup, you can run the game at 1080p/30FPS on Low Settings. However, the devs claimed that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 is also capable of running it at 60FPS.
For gaming at 1080p/60FPS on High Settings, you will need an Intel Core i7 8700K or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT, or an Intel Arc B580.
For 1440p/60FPS on Ultra Settings, you will need an Intel Core i7 13700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with 24GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070Ti, an AMD Radeon RX 6800XT, or an Intel Arc B580 (with XeSS enabled).
Now, let’s move to the Ray Tracing PC Requirements. To enable Ray Tracing, you will need an Intel Core i7 11700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT, or an Intel Arc B580. With this PC setup, you’ll also have to use an upscaler to hit 30FPS at 1080p.
For enabling Ray Tracing Ultra at 1440p, you will need an Intel Core i7 13700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with 24GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or an AMD Radeon RX 9070XT. You can get 60FPS with this PC setup if you enable DLSS or FSR.
Finally, for gaming at 4K with Path Tracing, you will need an Intel Core i9 13900K or an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 24GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. According to the devs, you can get 60FPS if you use an upscaler with Frame Generation.
CDPR will release The Witcher 3 Remastered on September 29. This will be a free update for all owners of the Complete Edition.
