Microsoft has revealed the official PC system requirements for its new Gears of War game, Gears of War: E-Day. Gears of War: E-Day is coming to PC on October 6, and it will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.
Gears of War: E-Day takes place fourteen years before the first Gears of War game. War heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago return home to face a new nightmare: the Locust Horde. These subterranean monsters, grotesque and relentless, erupt from below, laying siege on humanity itself.
Gears of War: E-Day will have modernized controls and movement, which will make combat feel more fluid while retaining Gears’ signature cover-based feel. Players can jump, vault, slide, and flank their enemies.
To run it, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or an Intel Core i7‑6850K/i5‑10400 with 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, an AMD Radeon RX 6600, an AMD Radeon RX 9060, or an Intel A580. The game will also require 130GB of free disk space, and The Coalition recommends using an SSD.
The devs recommend using an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or an Intel Core i5-11600K with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti, an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT, or an Intel B580.
Sadly, The Coalition has not listed the graphics settings, resolution, and framerate these PC specs target. My guess is that we’ll get more detailed PC requirements a couple of months before the game comes out.
