Eldamar Studio has released a new trailer for its upcoming first-person atmospheric horror adventure game, Lucid Falls. This trailer features a minute of gameplay footage. And, as you will see, it feels like a mix of Alan Wake with Blair Witch.
In Lucid Falls, you are stuck inside a lucid dream and must fight to survive in strange, scary worlds. You can change reality by controlling gravity, space, and time. This lets you find hidden paths, solve puzzles, and explore places that don’t follow normal rules.
Lucid Falls promises to use strong visuals and spooky environments to make its nightmares feel real. According to the devs, the game will have cinematic graphics and creepy atmospheres, with scary, twisted creatures hiding in the shadows.
Players will be able to manipulate reality itself by altering gravity, space, and time to uncover hidden paths and solve puzzles. Moreover, they will be able to fight and survive against terrifying, grotesque creatures born straight from hell.
The combat is similar to what we saw in Alan Wake. Players can use their flashlight to weaken and destroy enemies. However, I think the developers should reduce the amount of time it takes to defeat them. As you’ll see in the trailer, it currently takes a considerable amount of light to bring down a single enemy. This makes the combat feel repetitive, and it’s something that can literally destroy its pacing and overall vibe.
Since this is an indie game, I suggest tempering your expectations. It has potential, so let’s hope the devs will keep working on it to further polish it.
Enjoy!
