And the time has come. Believe it or not, there were a lot of well-optimized PC games in 2025. Some of these games flew under everyone’s radar, but they still deserve the spotlight because their developers did an incredible job.
But what do we consider an optimized PC game? Well, it’s quite simple. A well-optimized PC game is one that can scale well on multiple CPU cores, that is not plagued by ‘console-ish’ side effects (like really low FOV, controller-only on-screen indicators, awful K&M controls, and mouse acceleration/smoothing issues). Moreover, it should justify its high GPU requirements, and it should be able to scale down on older GPUs. We also take into account the stuttering issues that affected numerous PC games in 2025.
So, without further ado, here are the best optimized PC games of 2025.
Ninja Gaiden 4

Ninja Gaiden 4 runs great on PC. The PC controls are fantastic, and I did not experience any major stutters. Yes, the game does not push mind-blowing visuals. However, it at least runs great on a wide range of PC configurations. And that’s what may count at the end of the day. This is definitely one of the best optimized PC games of 2025.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins

I seriously can’t believe I’m writing this. I genuinely wasn’t expecting a KOEI Tecmo game to be featured in this list. Normally, you’d expect to see its games on our Worst Optimized PC Games list. But here we are with Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the best optimized PC game of KOEI Tecmo. It runs incredibly well on PC, it has excellent PC controls, and it does not suffer from any stuttering issues. It took KOEI Tecmo a few years, but they have finally nailed it. Let’s now hope that Nioh 3 will be as polished as Dynasty Warriors: Origins was.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 runs great on a wide range of PC setups. It also does not suffer from any stutters. However, its presentation falls short of what you’d expect from a COD game. COD titles used to look mind-blowing, but Black Ops 7 does not. It won’t “wow” you, and it doesn’t push the graphical boundaries of rasterized PC games. It looks good, but it also suffers from several graphical issues. This is why it’s so high on the list.
Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade is a polished PC game. It does not require a high-end PC, meaning that it will run great on a wide range of PC systems. It also looks great, and the KB&M implementation feels solid. Plus, it supports some PC-only features, like DLSS and FSR. And although it uses Denuvo, it does not suffer from any performance issues. There were some shader compilation stutters, but from what I can remember, I did not experience any major traversal stutters.
ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders is perhaps the only Unreal Engine 5 game that runs this well on PC. At launch, the developers locked its “True Epic” settings, similar to what Konami did with Silent Hill f. However, unlike Silent Hill f, ARC Raiders does not suffer from any stuttering issues. Embark Studios has done an incredible job here, and ARC Raiders deserves its place on our list.
Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast is a game that runs great on PC. It does not require a high-end GPU for 1080p gaming, and it does not suffer from any major stutters. Since this is an open-world game, this is a pleasant surprise. Generally speaking, DL: The Beast feels super smooth, even when gaming with super high framerates. It also has excellent PC controls.
DOOM: The Dark Ages

id Software has decided to use Ray Tracing by default for DOOM: The Dark Ages, and that gamble paid off. DOOM: The Dark Ages not only looks great but also runs incredibly well on many GPUs. It features amazing destruction effects, and it has zero stutters. Even when you’re riding a dragon, the game feels ultra smooth. This is perhaps the most well-optimized ray-traced game out there.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is easily one of the most optimized PC games of 2025. I’m really impressed by how the game looks and runs. I also did not experience any major stuttering issues. Plus, the game can scale on a huge range of GPUs with its in-game graphics presets. So, kudos to Warhorse for delivering such a polished PC game in 2025.
Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6 is one of the most optimized PC games of 2025 — no doubt about that. The game looks and runs great on PC. It does not suffer from any stutters or stability issues, and it doesn’t require a high-end system. Sadly, it doesn’t look as next-gen as most of the UE5 games we’ve gotten, which is why it wasn’t included in our Best PC Game Graphics of 2025 list. Still, when it comes to optimization, it’s one of the best examples on PC this year.
Atomfall

I cannot stress enough how well-optimized Atomfall is on PC. This is easily the most optimized rasterized PC game we’ve gotten in 2025. Not only does it look great, but it also runs incredibly fast. Even the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti can run it at an average of 60 FPS at native 4K on Ultra Settings. That’s insane. Rebellion delivered the best-optimized PC game of 2025, and it flew under everyone’s radar — which is a shame.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
