Resident Evil 5 Gets a 30GB 4K Mod That Overhauls All Textures

Modder ‘Evgeshajk’ has released a must-have 4K Mod for Resident Evil 5 that overhauls all of the game’s textures. This is a must for everyone who wants to replay this old RE game. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

Evgeshajk has used AI tools to upscale the original textures and has made some manual adjustments here and there. The result is a pack that looks sharper but stays faithful to the art style of the game.

To showcase the visual improvements, the modder shared the following video. In this video, we get a proper comparison between the original and the modded textures. This video will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from this 4K Mod. So, be sure to watch it.

Resident Evil 5 suffers from a lot of low-res textures. While it was not that big of an issue back in 2009, it’s quite distracting in 2025. Thankfully, with this mod, we can get a crisp image.

You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. Do note that you’ll have to patch the game file re5dx9.exe using this 4GB Patch application. If you do not, you’ll be getting crashes during gameplay.

It’s also worth noting that in the video below, the modder used another mod to remove the game’s default greenish filter. That mod also adds DOF, better contrast, color, and shadows. You can download it from this link.

You can also find AI-enhanced texture packs for many more games. For instance, we have packs for Far Cry 3The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Final Fantasy 7 RemakeBlood 2Dark Souls 2FEAR, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have also received their own. And then we have those for Resident Evil: RevelationsRevelations 2Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30Resident Evil 7, and Tomb Raider: Legend. Let’s also not forget this one for Palworld and this one for Thief 2014. A few days ago, we also shared one for Fallout: New Vegas. On top of that, you can find similar mods for Baldur’s Gate 3GTA 4, and BioShock Infinite.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. This game needs a proper "uncut" remake doubling Chris's biceps. It was pure testosterone back in 2009. The hype was insane & graphics were incredible & boy everyone was surprised how well it ran even with 512 mb gpus. MT framework was golden

      1. Bro, look at their marketing, Lady D (with size double D) is their mascot, they're pairing with BabyMetal, they're casting beautiful women and men in their games. They want their characters to rule (34 ofc;) Just let them take their time, they'll satisfy our needs I'm sure. For now it's time to see REmake Rebecca 🙂

  2. I just wonder how will C󠀀r󠀀a󠀀pcom impress us with how they butcher RE5 when they eventually make an ugly, censored, rewritten Talmudick cancer (((d󠀀em󠀀ak󠀀e))) out of it for the overly sensitive t󠀀r󠀀a󠀀nni󠀀g󠀀g󠀀e󠀀r snowflakes who not only don't play video games at all, but even openly hate YOU the player to s󠀀p󠀀i󠀀te gamers just so they could get some extra shekels from their JuDEIst investors.

  3. Sometimes a good high res texture is all the improvement you need. Too bad they keep hosting those big files in that cancer infested website.

  4. Is there any way to download it out of nexus mods?? the mod is 30gb and to download such amount you need a premium account, otherwise it would take days to download

    1. There is actually an option right in front of you; it's called having patience and not being a spoiled brat to want everything right away.
