At CES 2025, NVIDIA revealed its new RTX 50 series GPUs. The green team has shared an impressive real-time video, and revealed its prices and availability. So, let’s take a look at them, shall we?
The high-end model will be the NVIDIA RTX 5090. This GPU will have a $1999 MSRP. Then we have the RTX 5080 which will be priced at $999. Finally, we have the RTX 5070Ti and the RTX 5070 which will have a $749 and $549 MSRP, respectively.
NVIDIA stated that the RTX 5070 will be as powerful as the RTX 4090. Now this is something I want to see with my own eyes.
NVIDIA claims that availability will start this month. However, it did not reveal any specific dates. Rumor has it that the RTX 5080 will come out on January 21st. The RTX 5090 and the RTX 5080 GPUs will become available on January 30th. Then, the RTX 5070Ti and the RTX 5070 will come out in February 2025.
Once the keynote ends, NVIDIA will most likely send us a press release. This press release may have more details about its new Blackwell GPUs. So, I’ll be sure to update the story with any new info I get.
Regarding the video that NVIDIA showcased, this looked really similar to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, does this mean that AC: Shadows will have Full Ray Tracing/Path Tracing? Looks like it. After all, Ubisoft always had a good relationship with NVIDIA. And, if that was AC: Shadows, the game might be one of the first to support DLSS 4.
For now, here is an early gaming benchmark graph that has leaked. In this graph, we get to see the RTX 5090 against the RTX 4090. And, in Path Tracing, NVIDIA claims that the RTX 5080 will be twice as fast as the RTX 4090. This is mainly due to DLSS 4, for which we’ll talk about in a separate article.
For what it’s worth, this GPU announcement is better than the one from AMD. Because, hey. NVIDIA did reveal the prices, and it showcased DLSS 4 in action. We’ll most likely get more details about them shortly but things are looking pretty interesting.
Stay tuned for more!

$2,000 for a GPU is insane. But the other prices don't seem terrible. Still a far cry from the Pre-Pandemic pricing that I miss. I just don't see how I can justify a 2K GPU. But I'd get the 5080 at least.
John will find a way to justify it, just like he did with the RTX 4090.
Meanwhile a few years later, we got a RTX 5080 with double the performance for half the price.
I expect AMD to undercut them again as well, this cards truly have no value.
If you got an RTX 4090 when it came out, there is NO REASON AT ALL to upgrade. Enjoy the card for the next 5 (or even more) years.
In fact, RTX 4090 owners need a future CPU upgrade.
In fact, RTX 4090 owners need a future CPU upgrade.
coping mechanism engaged.
Hey John. I have the rtx 4090. I'm not gonna buy the new ones and no need. What do you think?
That’s the smart move. RTX 4090 won’t become obsolete. You should be fine until the 60 series comes out.
Do it Jensen needs a new leather jacket
You were Dumb and you want validation to become Dumber?
piss off
Just saying, den xriazete na thimonis irema

AMD? they don't even exist anymore. They are still releasing (to undercut if I borrow your word) Radeon GPUs because Nvidia allows them to. Consider it a mercy.
You only allowed to reply to me when you +18 /blocked
your grammar makes no sense and so are you. It is okay if the reality is too bitter. I have experienced those days. enjoy.
Man you are so stupid to put one two together and you use Sherlock as a nickname https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4acc31f5aa34b57bcc1830bb7ccc3ccb08da79cdeadeac5dff5e92709513a4a0.png
Non existend as the second fastest card
It doesn't help his case that the AMD RX 9700 seems to reach the RX 7900 XT performance profile.
5080 is not even close to x2 4090 aside from using the new framegen x3, it's probably on par with it or even weaker sadly.
Could have been worse. There have been Titans for $2,500 to $3,000 which is what the xx90 class are. There have been Titans with twice the VRAM as the xx80 Ti but there has never been a Titan/xx90 with 2X the cores as the xx80 Ti so I suspect we haven't heard about the 5080 Ti yet but it will come.
No the xx90 cards aren't just modern titans, that's a cope and bs that Nvidia wants you to think.
90 cards now have a 30-40+% leap over the xx80 cards and are by far the best cards FOR GAMING as well. Titans made 0 sense since you had an 80 Ti that was within 90-95% of its power (for gaming) at a third or quarter of the price.
Now, they are deliberately pricing all but the richest out of the high end gaming market beverages because there are many troglodytes who but xx90 cards for $2000-3000 already.
There also won't be a 5080 Ti for this reason just like there wasn't a 4080. They want the highest end card to be ridiculously overpriced to push everyone toward it.
They're not even better, they just have AI software embed into it faking frames.
They are better even without it braintard.

5080 coming with only 16GB of VRAM is really disappointing.
really nitpicking with the screenshots. 99% of the time in a regular gameplay you wont notice it. But you are right about the vram. Should've been at least 24gb. But I heard it uses less vram while using dlss, so thats something ig
“struggles” – that is a fine evidence of ignorance at the first place. You didn’t present how clearer the image was in DLSS4 render than all the other DLSS renders + Native. Even the cuts on the table has more definitions than all the other renders.
It's obviously a blurry mess right under the objects. If you think you'll get double the frame rate without any quality loss or artefacts you're really a gullible consumer.
the reflection behind the pillar?, the texture detail?, the frame rate????. u blind mate?
Such powerful graphics cards and almost zero worthwhile games to take advantage of them. Welcome to gaming in 2025.
if you have to spent more than a ps5 for a videocard, then there is no game made for something more powerful that few people have.
There's some games like Black Myth Wukong and Alan Wake 2 that can take advantage of high end GPUs, but work okay on midrange with medium-high settings.
Then again, Alan Wake 2 was a flop, Digital Foundry recently put out a video crying that it still isn't profitable.
The only reason to buy new GPUs is to play old games at higher FPS + higher resolution, and additionally create content in case you are a content creator.
That's it.
There's like only 1 or 2 games or perhaps even 0 games releasing in a whole year that's worth playing nowadays (and to be pirated of course, not "buying" it to not give these companies your hard-earned money to fund the Jewish genocide of the human race even further).
in order to buy a new gpu the devs hace to flop the upcoming games in order to trick a newbie consumer.
Sire!! They are trying to fool us again.
They sure are my child!
Where performance metrics in comparison? They chickened out? no way!
Knowing Nvidia's greed, I already had the impression that the prices of the new RTX 5000 series GPUs will bomb even before clicking on this article.
"The high-end model will be the NVIDIA RTX 5090. This GPU will have a $1999 MSRP."
*PANIC*
"Then we have the RTX 5080 which will be priced at $999."
*Phew*
"Finally, we have the RTX 5070Ti and the RTX 5070 which will have a $749 and $549 MSRP, respectively."
Ahh… what a relief from the disaster that was the RTX 4000 series.
Still, I miss the pre-pandemic prices.
Still not great, considering we used to get x80 series cards for around the $700 mark prior to the 4000 series, and around $500 prior to the 2000 series.
Valid point 👍🏻
5070 still only has 12 GB of VRAM
Easy buy. The pricings exceeded my expectations. Kudos Nvidia for being less worse.
"Kudos Nvidia for being less worse."
Exactly 🤣👌
These avaricious corps do not deserve your praise, the prices across the stack are still monopolisticaly anti-consumer.

There is nothing we can do about it. Skipping Three generations and going for the best buy among the trash hardwares by stashing some cash is the only way to go nowadays. I always say this to people (especially some morons even harder) – AMD & Nvidia are basically tied to each other, they secretly perform late midnight corpo handshakes, get out in the morning and act like they are rivals in the face of people. But they are far from that in reality.
indeed.
Assuming the claim that the RTX 5070 Ti actually has the power of the RTX 4090 is true and not just a marketing scam by Nvidia (but of course, 100% guaranteed to have far less than RTX 4090's 24 GB VRAM), the RTX 5070 Ti seems like the perfect sweet spot to upgrade from my RTX 3050.
"Assuming the claim that the RTX 5070 Ti actually has the power of the RTX 4090 is true and not just a marketing scam by Nvidia…"
They always tout these BS comparisons, because they found an anomaly or two that actually does, and in the rest, it gets obliterated in comparison.
Such a long history of using this bs marketing, and people are still here today saying, "… if the claim is true …."
Yep, I already know that it's just a scam to get these gullible conSOOOOOOOMers hyped only to end up being shocked about what they'll find out just as soon as they get their hands on it!
In other words, of course it is already clear that it's just a scam and it will have far less power than the 4090, I should've made it more clear in that comment.
This gen I'll wait for the 80 Super an the 80Ti to come out before I make a move.
So it's all DLSS4 results? Can't wait for real world tests.
I'll buy a 5080 as soon as it comes out of the factory to get my fixed 60 fps with DLSS4 and of course the new Framegen in AC: Shadows. On the menu…
we need more data about raw rasterizing performance, but tbh pricing could have been much worse , i'll wait for china to make its move regarding a new pandemic for price adjustment.
these new games are so broken that's its gonna be hard to justify buying a 5090 there nothing good to play out there
"NVIDIA claims that the RTX 5080 will be twice as fast as the RTX 4090. This is mainly due to DLSS 4"
Oh!!
JOHN I SWEAR IF U BLOCK THIS COMMENT! YOUR GARBO AUTOMATED SYSTEM ALWAYS DETECTS MY POSTS AS SPAM, WHY?!!?!?!?
I'M A FREQUENT POSTER HERE, I SHOULD BE WHITELISTED BY NOW!
Holy sh11111t, it's absolutely over for JunkMD
You have to be a below 60 IQ subhuman to buy any garbage from that company, the 9070XT would be a scam above $279.
4090 perf for 1/3 the price with the 5070, Jensen's done it.
INB4, "b-b-b-u-t fake frames!!111" , yeah STFU raytard, who gives a sh*t when it looks exactly the same.
Add to this the IQ improvements to DLSS upscaling, it's better than native now.
Not to mention nice additions to the nvapp like dlss res, frame gen and res % override.
They've also claimed to have improved RTX HDR for 30% better performance and VSR as well.
And the final blow Reflex 2, with 50% further latency reduction.
It's DONE, NVIDIA is untouchable.
I mean this post doesn't look like spam at all… /s
So ngreedia still hasent learned, ok hard pass…
The stack should have been 1200/750/500/350, but they will learn the hard way when Im hoping user will en-mass see sense and not pay these prices.
I also sincerly hope these cards will flop from a perf pov, as in will only marginaly faster than previous gen as a result of higher power draw.
That's not gonna happen, there is a very large supply of tards who keep buying xx90 cards in droves.
One can hope, even when we have another year of the orange f*ktard.
2500 euro in EU. Easily..
Rule of thumb always buy used cards and ofc not mined ones
$2000 for fake frames pulled out of the bu**hole of "artificial intelligence".
If the stupidity of others didn't affect me, I'd be laughing right now.
The sad truth is, the stupidity of others, does hurt you, and this a clear example of how.
Every time someone types "fake frames" a child dies of cringe in Africa. Stop being a braindead r3tard and understand the use case and usefulness of a feature that no one is asking you to use.
Well with FG – fake frames and with MFG – fanatasy frames.
But lets wait for the GN/HUB reviews of these cards…
Hmmm something smells in here…
They're REALLY separating the 90 from the 80… By DOUBLE the price (?!!)…
And that smells like the 80 was made slower to allow for that gap, as i had heard somewhere.
And then selling the 70s so cheap???
Hmmmm what's really going on here? Or why? (sus look)
550$ 12GB 250watts. nope.
nvidia is a disgrace.
The 5080 should have more vram than 16 gigs.
So now 3x frame generation = 3x performance according to scammy NVIDIA.
5070 is 4090 ? In what world they think they can lie like that.
Also 12GB of VRAM in 5070 is a complete joke.
I thought the 4090 was great value but not so much for the 5090 to say the least. I’ve been looking forward to moving my 4090 to my racing rig (plus I do enjoy the upgrade process itself every couple years) so I’ll likely still get the 5090 but seeing as it has the smallest increase and by far the biggest price bump among the stack compared to last gen is a bit disappointing.
Man you are such a Kalamaras tsioftas. This was the worst presentation ever. Simply ridiculous, obscuring performance, ridiculous comparisons and Jensen being more Jensen than ever, 10000 dolar pc that we all have? Best CEO and being a dishwasher. Hahahaha wtf., but you are bashing AMD ONLY!!!! Dont attack the hand that feeds you I guess. Bias to the teeth.
at first i was like "wow 5070 cool ! cheap price !"
then i realized the true 5070 is actually the 5070 TI
I knew it. The claimed performance increases were all down to up sampling. The card's not really any faster, it's just going to render at an even lower resolution and rely on gimmicky up sampling to give you a worse image that everyone pretends looks just as good.
At that the performance claims were only about path tracing! It related only to a gimmick that almost no games use which typically tanks your frames and gives you no clear visible improvements. No doubt they found a way to cheap out on the process of rendering that since no one will be able to tell the difference anyway.
and add just $/€ 400 on top of that and you will know the real price sellers are going to sell it
My knowledge about these things is close to zero, but I don't feel good about this. It looks to me that this GPU is only 6 FPS faster than the 4090 without DLSS frame generation. Also, people can use lossless scaling FGX4 with older GPUs. Okay, it can't be compared in terms of latency and quality with DLSS4 FGX4, but at least it doesn't cost $2000.

Premium value to play unoptimized games using fake frames gen and other AI BS ngreedia is pushing into gamer's throats. It's a STEAL!
