Ghost of Tsushima new feature

First Ghost of Tsushima PC Update released, fixing issues with DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0

Nixxes has released the first PC update for Ghost of Tsushima. According to the release notes, patch v1053.0.0522.1042 brings fixes to both NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.0. Additionally, it packs some stability improvements.

Going into more details, update v1053.0.0522.1042 resolves visual bugs that could show while transitioning from cut-scenes to gameplay with NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation Enabled. Moreover, it fixes a visual issue that could appear when combining AMD FSR 3 upscaling with Dynamic Resolution Scaling.

Nixxes claimed that it’s working on more updates to address other issues. Furthermore, they aim to further improve stability on specific hardware configurations and in Legends multiplayer mode.

Sadly, there is no word on when – and if – the game will become available in the countries from where it has been delisted. As such, those who live in these countries can only play GoT via illegal methods. It sucks really because Sony could have easily made the single-player mode of Ghost of Tsushima available in those countries.

Regardless of that, GoT appears to be a huge success on PC. According to Steam’s stats, it had a better launch than God of War, meaning that it’s now the best single-player PlayStation release on PC.

Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Additionally, you can find below its full patch notes. Oh, and make sure to read our PC Performance Analysis.

    1. I’ve only had this happen to me once. When you see the button/key symbol come up wait a second before you press the key/button and that seems to help many people including me.

  1. This game had max concurrent players of 77,154 players 4 days ago on Steam.

Today, at around the same time, it is already down to 43,540 players.

Truly awful retention rate and replay value for a $60 game.

For comparison, BG3 was released almost a year ago, and is still hitting massive active daily player numbers. A 24-hour peak of 75,516 players today.

    1. Comparing rates of play on a Sunday vs. middle of the week? Most adults that bought the game are working and school is still in session for many. So let’s compare apples to apples since you brought up BG3. “This game had max concurrent players of 102,000 4 days ago on Steam. Today at around the same time, it is already down to 57,000 players. Truly awful retention rate and replay value for a $60 game” See how stupid that comparison is.

BG3 has a max concurrent player count of 875,343. Almost 1 million.

Slight difference with Ghost of Tsushima’s 77k, which can not even do 1/10th of what BG3 pulled.

BG3 is also currently outselling Ghost of Tsushima, so is Valheim, so are many other single player games.

Ghost of Tsushima is down to 28th best selling on Steam after just 4 days. Which is awful considering the amount of hype this game got.

  2. For some reason Nixxes just can’t seem to get DLSS3 Frame Generation working correctly, it’s buggy on Horizon Forbidden West too and I’ve found it best to just leave it off since 90-100 FPS is plenty and you don’t have to worry about the added lag and buggy behavior. They also seem to have a problem with Reflex Plus

I suspect it’s because they use AMD tools rather than Nvidia Omniverse tools

  3. But what about fixing the bugs which are there since the release of the game from 4 years ago?

  4. old low rez textures are still there. Especially in cutscenes where it also runs at 30fps. Shame on Nixxes, lazy port.
