Capcom has just released Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC and in a matter of hours, modder PureDark released a free DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for it.
Although NVIDIA claimed that the game would support DLSS 3 from the get-go, there is currently no support for it. My guess is that Capcom will add it via a post-launch update. So, for now, you’ll need this mod in order to improve the game’s performance.
Now contrary to PureDark’s previous DLSS 3 Mods, this is free to everyone. Yep, you read that right. You can go ahead and download this must-have mod from his Patreon page. And no, you won’t have to pay the modder so that you can gain access to it.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is powered by RE Engine and appears to be a CPU-heavy title. I’m currently in the Vernworth capital and I’ll publish an article in a few hours, sharing my initial performance impressions. I’ll also test the DLSS 3 Mod in Vermund, and share some benchmarks.
For those wondering, our PC Performance Analysis for this game will go live this weekend. Since Capcom didn’t provide us with a review code, It will take a while so that we can properly test it. Until then, we’ll have our initial PC performance impressions. So stay tuned for it.
Speaking of Frame Generation Mods, you might also want to check these out. For instance, you can download these free DLSS 3 Mods for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Dying Light 2 and Lies of P. Then we have the FSR 3.0 mods for Palworld, The Last of Us Part I and Dead Space Remake. Sadly, these mods are still behind a Patreon wall. Last month, we also shared a DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. And then have the DLSS 3 Mods for Baldur’s Gate 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Feels ooc for PD to give out free something he put together himself.
Maybe Capcom asked him for it since otherwise no one realistically can play this smoothly
Outside of main city i get stable 110 FPS so i see no issue, just upgrade your potato
Per DF even a 7800X3D cannot run the game smoothly in the city. So of cource I did not buy it, I am not a sucker. I won’t pay full price for a broken game. Waiting to be fixed and discounted first.
It’s runs fine with frame generation. It’s a 30 FPS game in a late console gen. Are you new to PC Gaming or something? This happens every freakin console gen and with frame generation we finally have at least a reasonable fix. It has traversal stutter but so does every newer single open world game atm Alex is just a huge crossdressing f@g who hates that it is competing with this LBGT indoctrination tool Horizon West. Same guy that had a hissy fit over the female form in Stellar Blade while he puts out model photos of himself in S&M outfits and in drag.
DF is only relevant because you choose not to embrace content creators who make more detailed settings videos. There is nothing special about Alex and he’s often been completely wrong and or didn’t cover mods and solutions to make some games look worse than they are and other games look better. He’s basically a glorified Nvidia shill who also thinks motion blur is good.
Gamers Nexus also benchmarked the game and while the 7800x3d was at the top of the CPU chart, it still demonstrated dips under 30fps.
So in line with what DF reported.
The game needs optimizing. There is literally no CPU someone could buy today to play this game with constant 60+ fps
because its already in game just hidden because it causes crashes
FYI, the DLSS here is very blurry, so it might not really be a step up for most people.
Just add a sharpening filter. Nvidia’s is passable with their bloatware. You can also do integer sharpening via driver, but that takes some extra steps and AMD’s opensource CAS.FX sharpening that you can use via reshade on Nvidia is my favorite and something I use in just about every game that isn’t mutiplayer with anticheat. Temporal AA is a blurry mess as well, but it’s required to not have jaggies everywhere if you aren’t leveraging DLAA. In games that I can use DLSS Tweaks to get DLAA via DLSS set in game, I do it. DLAA is the holy grail. Put DLAA on at 1440p, with some slight CAS.FX over top and it will blow your mind because it looks like 4k temporal with MUCH lower performance hit. You will get a better looking game on a 4070 than people have on their 4090 just using in game garbage TAA. For old games that lack DLSS DLDSR is the best you can get with smoothing set to personal preference.
the game is dogshit. sure it looks nice but has so much behind a paywall.. This feels more like a free-to-play multiplayer idea than a single player rpg
nothing is behind a paywall dumbass. stop riding haters’ dicks
Game is absolutely amazing, its just like DD1 we all loved. Go play COD kid.
Friendly warning, it causes crashes from time to time thats why its hidden by default in game options
Thank you I have just been searching for information approximately this topic for a while and yours is the best I have found out so far However what in regards to the bottom line Are you certain concerning the supply
