Capcom has removed Denuvo from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Capcom has issued a new patch for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin that removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from it. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin came out on PC in July 2022, meaning that it took the Japanese company almost a year in order to remove it.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a turn-based RPG that is set in the world of Monster Hunter. In this game, you play as the grandson of Red; a legendary Rider. The story begins with a fateful encounter with Ena, a Wyverian girl, who has been entrusted with an egg with the potential to hatch into a legendary Rathalos which could wreak havoc if awakened to its destructive power.

The game is currently with a 50% discount on Steam. Capcom is also offering a trial version of it that you can download from here. In this demo, players are able to play the opening portion of the game for free. Additionally, you will be able to carry over your save data from the demo to the retail version.

Lastly, Capcom has stated that the game has sold over 1.5 million copies on all platforms!

  1. “The game is currently with a 50% discount on Steam.”

so the game didnt sell well because re village still has denuvo.

    1. It’s probably because they don’t plan on release anymore content for it. RE8 will recieve that Ethan daughters dlc and 3rd person mode.

      1. That 3rd person mode makes me laugh. If you correctly made animations (and they should since they are doing the remakes) it is work for a week tops.

  2. But these f*kers havent removed that sh*t on RE8 yet – and that game is over a year old!

They use to remove it by then, hence timed protection I guess!

  3. This is pretty big news. The game is great and People should definitely try it. Since we don’t have to deal with this online crap anymore
