Bethesda and Arkane have released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, Redfall. This trailer packs pre-alpha gameplay footage, which means that it does not represent the quality of the final product.
Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS that aims to bring Arkane’s signature gameplay to the co-operative action and FPS genres.
The game promises to blend single- and multiplayer options seamlessly. Additionally, it will allow the player to venture into the darkness alone or to squad-up with up to three friends. Teammates will also be able to try different hero loadouts. Moreover, they can combine their strengths to overcome the vampire legion and their brood of maniacal followers.
Redfall will release in 2023.

Don’t you think some ethnic minority characters were created with good intentions though? Like Sheva in RE5, Lee in TWD or the cast in the L4D/HL series? They were made during the time when nobody was demanding those sort of things nor was anyone really all that bothered by it whenever those creations came about.
Coming from a black British citizen, I do honestly believe that minorities in the States are clearly being over-represented in mainstream entertainment but given the complicated history they have there I can’t comment all that much on it.
Agreed. The issue with characters today is that they’re being tokenised, used as a propaganda tools/weapons. There were always complaints about how brash and uncooperative a lot of these figureheads were in the industry back when societies were more conservative leaning. It’s no different today, except now these figureheads have been replaced by those who carry ultra-progressive ideals.
Lara Croft as an example wasn’t an easy character to greenlit when she was first pitched, considering how laughable it was to fathom the idea of having a female protagonist in a video game was during that period. The same could be said for minority characters but it’s a shame how things have now took a turn for the worse. It really does take away a lot of the joy, escapism and generates a larger amount of animosity among the gaming community I think.

Well that’s what they’re doing in contemporary times. Not sure what the Democrats were up to 10-20 years ago. Even viewing CNN archives during those days you can see that they definitely weren’t as biased as they are now.
At the moment they control a huge portion of our entertainment and workspace through mongering like you said. Given all the things that has occurred lately I’m sure most of the mania will eventually wind down. It’s basically like the pendulum swing metaphor. There’s only so much you can do to agitate somebody that they will eventually swing back harder.
They’ve been pushing this whole identity politics stuff for so long that we’re now starting to see people who had no interest in politics calling out the absurdity in all of this wokeness. We’re seeing alternative media forming and hopefully most work places will drop the whole virtuous and egotistical mindset. Perhaps I’m being optimistic but I’ve seen indications which suggest that things could change for the better.

Same. But I do think any positive changes will take up to a decade before it comes into fruition. Rome wasn’t built in a day after all. The alternative media is here but it’s at a much smaller scale compared to all the prominent ones. Which is fine anyway because there’s nothing remotely special about all the biggest things coming out today.

this game gave me a headache during the show. the story, the enemies, the logic of it, the characters, design choices, visuals every thing about it was horrendous.
but hey I am sure modern journalism will approve of its diversity and colourful representation of all walks of life including minority vampires and infants with guns
