Ubisoft has announced that Title Update 1.4.1 for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will release tomorrow. This update is 77GB in size on PC, and below you can find its full patch notes.
As Ubisoft noted, this update delivers a data restructure of the game. And, as you may have guessed, this is the reason why you’ll have to re-download all of the game’s files. The good news here though is that the final version will have now overall smaller file size, faster loading screen times and runtime performance, as well as improved world data streaming.
Title Update 1.4.1 adds various sub-sections to the combat, stealth, and exploration options in the Gameplay tab. This will allow you to customize your combat and stealth experience in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to your preference.
Furthermore, this patch addresses numerous graphics, texture, animation, or lighting issues. It also aims to improve performance and stability.
As always, Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store will download this update once it becomes available. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

Of course no update for Alder Lake compatibility.
they’ve given good support for this game, and i enjoyed it quite a bit. The only thing that still bugs me is there’s no DLSS or FSR implementation which for a game this heavy would be a godsend.
If you only need 60 fps gaming: You can use Lossless Scaling or Magpie to force FSR for the game.
yeah nvidia has its own image scaling equivalent to FSR now which is at least just as good and it can be forced via drivers. But as with FSR its just a spacial upscaler, it’s not AWFUL but it’s nowhere near DLSS. I used to run lossless scaling to get FSR (app which now includes Nvidia image scaling) the problem with LS and also Magpie is that they not only break g-sync and freesync (which is a dealbreaker for me) but also introduce input lag
First they need to fix that game, to use full potential of CPU and GPU, low CPU and GPU usage is a bug that came out… 1.5 year ago? And people lose it like ~50% of they framerate, Ubilol doesn’t give a f00ck, topics about that on Ubi forums were insta deleted.
Also they game still has Denuvo + VMP inside…
I reeeally wonder why this stuff is done mid cicle when they are releasing a new AC every other year… They could do it for a new installment before release.
Really speaks of bad planning/management.
This game came out over a year ago and it’s getting a 77gb patch. Talk about Early Access Ubitrash!
This is why in today’s world you never buy game before 1-2 years later it will actually will be completed then. All the sheep buying game maximum price and inferior product instead of Better product – less price. And so many games on market its not really a problem. I think i am 2-3 years behind my gaming wishlist and never got anything spoilt or otherwise. Only game I bought on release was cybrerpunk and I got cyberRipped. I went against my own rule because I felt bad buying witcher 3 Complete for 10 euros which I enjoyed. Not gonna even talk about people who are paying premimum on Live service games which are uncompleted trash first year. And paying them on extra on skins and stuff.
Agree, I used to be a day one purchaser years ago with any new game but not now.
Glad I have 200+ untouched Steam/GOG/Epic games to get through and no they aren’t all trash quite a few AAA games in the list.
Only just got thorugh GTA V and haven’t even touched The Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2 yet even though I have had them a few years.
Games now are so overpriced and incomplete, Better off waiting a year not just to get it on sale but by then it’s patched and actually works.
These companies need to stop rushing out unfinished Beta products to meet the stupid time limited corporate exec’s quota’s.
Same applies to hardware now as well, I make it all last another gen instead of building a new pc every year like I used to when younger, It’s just getting silly.
200 I would go crazy :D. I think i am trying to hold my self around 20-30 unfinished games maximum. I am glad you turned yourself around from buying trash on day one.
hear hear… i recently bought Hitman 2, Dishonored 2, Mafia DE, Death stranding, Detroit and Control… all in discounts for roughly 15 euro or even less… and i need to finish Kingdom Come and Red Dead 2 before those… really no need to buy fresh games… almost bought AOE 4 though, cause i got hooked on pvp when trying it with game pass… but i resisted… not to mention Ubisoft games… i did not play like 3 last Far Cries and 5 last Assassins…last one was the one with pirate theme…Black Flag… i keep those newer ones for my old age, when i will keep forgetting and my hands will be shaking, so combat and finding all chests will be finally challenging and fun
great to hear that people have similar ideas and hoping it will get more common practice. Of course we are allowed some mistakes too. It’s easy to get hyped. We do need to support companies who are making it right on the launch day.
only ubisoft game I still play daily is for honor.
If you waited a month after it released, you could have gotten it for $35. Guardians of the Galaxy Collectors Edition was $84 when it launched, I saw it on sale for $29 one month later. Those are just two examples. You really do not have to pay full price for games.
Its not about owning games earilest i can for better price, there are so many great games That i dont need to buy anything. Sitting on 20-25 unfinished games right now which most i havent even started yet. I try to hold under 2-3 active games at once. Right now it’s Cyberpunk2077 (60 hours in) still buggy but I like the quests. Divinty original Sin 1 st one (40-50 hours in) and Wasteland 2 (4 hourns in). All of them actually quite long games too so it takes time until i want to start something new.
I purchased mine 13 months after release for 33$ 🙂
77 Gigs???? OMG!!!!
I don’t believe this 😐 This morning I had about an hour or two free to play. Instead I have to spend that time to redownload the game. Goob job Ubisoft!
I guess better really late than never. I know I haven’t played it to death yet. So thank God everything will still seem fresh. Yeah that’s sarcasm
