Ember Lab has just released Kena: Bridge of Spirits and the first mods for it have appeared online. These first mods fix add Ultra Wide support, offer new FOV settings, and offer 48fps versions of the pre-rendered cut-scenes.
Let’s start with the first mod. Created by WT3WD Provided by PCGamingWiki the UltraWide Fix mod adds support for ultra-wide monitors. You can download this mod from here. All you have to do is run the executable file and patch the game’s .exe file (we’ve scanned this file and it appears to be clean).
The second mod allows players to change the game’s FOV. This mod requires Cheat Engine, otherwise it won’t work. The available FOV options are 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130. You can download it from here.
Lastly, this 6.7GB Mod replaces the game’s pre-rendered cut-scenes. The vanilla cut-scenes run at 24fps and feel a bit choppy. This mod aims to address this by re-encoding these scenes at 48fps. You can download it from here.

Have fun!

That moron stole the ultrawide fix from pcgw and didn’t bother crediting the creator, lmao.
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2291-kena-bridge-of-spirits-ultrawide-fixes/Ah so that’s why those pre-rendered scenes lag out, these should have been encoded at 60fps.
Playing the free version, because f**k Epic’s BS, without any issue with
cut scenes e.g. no lag.
I’m playing the Codex release too, it’s an issue with or without Epic’s DRM.
Pre rendered, in-engine FMVs for cutscenes in 2021? Get out if you aren’t going to encode them (At least as an optional DLC) at Blu Ray quality+ 60FPS.
You instantly date your game and make it less future proof when people go back with better hardware in the future.
Paid EGS exclusive and you couldn’t even do this?
I thought we were done with this nonsense after 2 gens ago.
Those CGI animation cutscenes were draw and animated in 24fps which is standard for animation, any re-encode to 48 or 60 fps makes them look bad.
Haven’t viewed them but there are really good frame interpolation algorithms/software out there that can make a world of difference in smoothness
FOV should be in every game.
