It’s been a while since our last look at the best Xbox 360 emulator for PC, Xenia. And, since our reader shared a video showing Ninja Gaiden 2 running on it, we’ve decided to share a few of them. As such, below you can find videos showing Red Dead Redemption, Condemned 2, Gears of War Judgement, Lollipop Chainsaw and Ninja Gaiden 2 running on the latest version of Xenia.
Now as you will see, Red Dead Redemption still has some performance/optimization issues. From what I know, this game runs better on RPCS3 than on Xenia. Therefore, we suggest using RPCS3 instead of Xenia. At least for now. Even with RPCS3 though there are some performance and graphical glitches, so don’t expect a perfect gaming experience. This game runs better on Xenia than on RPCS3. Thus, we suggest using the Xbox 360 emulator and not the PS3 emulator in case you want to play it. The gaming experience is not perfect yet, though we may – one day – be able to play it at 60fps and without any graphical glitches. That, or Take-Two may release a remastered version of it on PC in the near future.
You can download the latest version of Xenia from here.
Enjoy!

RDR runs way better on Xenia compared to RPCS3 (provided you have a good GPU). I was able to get 40-60 fps on a 3070 compared to the 20-25 fps on RPCS3 using R5 5600X

Yeah, fixed it.
Looking to that native PC RDR remake.
Take-Two should add Red Dead Redemption to Game Pass Streaming. This game is updated to 4K HDR on Xbox Series X it can be streamed to PC or even web browser

Hey man get out of here with your streaming and gameass garbage. Fuqing Xbox EXpats. Ever since Don Mattrick and his foolishness y’all just come flood PC with your foolishness. Ain’t nobody on PC spend money for GPUS to stream games or play on Microsoft UWP garbage. If it ain’t .exe we want nothing to do with it. Do you even hear yourself? you’ve gots to be trolling, no way you can be for real with this nonsense.
I was surprised that among the Game Pass XCloud titles, RDR1 wasn’t an option.
It really is along the few titles from the 7th gen consoles that haven’t really been available on other platforms.
Emulation on PC is janky, PS4/5 users have on PS Now I believe, while Xbox One X / Series X have it in 4K30 (with perfect Vsync and frametimes), which is amazing.
Hopefully it either gets added soon or emulation performance and accuracy improves soon.
For fans of Daytona USA somebody found how to stop the graphical corruption issues with RPCS3.

Amen. I can run run RdR on rpcs3 ~ 20 fps, and ~20fps in xenia. One uses CPU. another use GPU. Ah, if just little combination would be possible there…
They are still fighting with glitches and ps3 features. It have $hit ton of things inside. I guess once when they finish implemeting that, they will focus on optimisation
that with every patch under the sun applied? RS did mention it was too buggy to port.
Damn! LBN getting that shoutout
He’s too woke to be left alive now. Being featured on the front page of dsogaming, it’s obvious he sold his soul and has turned full pozz.
I’m waiting for them to finally improve the compatibility of RDR on the emulators for me to finally play it.
Foliage is disappearing from time to time, campfire can also lead to a crash and the horse can potentially ignore your whistles, that’s not what i call “tons of missing effects” you can beat the game, no game breaking bugs and the performance is far better than RPCS3
You can also use patches on the Canary Build of Xenia to remove motion blur and DoF, on the other hand the RPCS3 patches of RDR can only help you change aspect ratio, this game is superior on Xenia for now
I recently upgraded from a 4770K to a Ryzen 5800X and saw a massive ~60% performance boost in RDR!
Xenia needs a full on GUI. Settings in a .ini is fiddly.
i7 4790 for an emulator? Are you fkin kidding me?
