Intel Xe-HPG DG2 teaser-2

This could be our first look at Intel’s Xe-HPG gaming GPU

Moore’s Law Is Dead has just shared some images from what looks like Intel’s upcoming Xe-HPG high-end gaming GPU. According to the Youtuber, these images are from an engineering sample, meaning that the final product may not look like this. Still, it can give you an idea of Intel’s upcoming GPU.

This engineering sample features 512 execution units. Moreover, Moore’s Law Is Dead states that it will have 16GB GDDR6 memory and a 256-bit bus, with a TDP of 275W. The engineering sample also comes with 8-pin and 6-pin power connectors.

Now as always, take everything you just read with a grain of salt. Moore’s Law Is Dead also shared some additional details, but those appear to be a bit fishy. I mean, this YouTuber was claiming that NVIDIA was working on DLSS 3.0 that would be working on all games. So yeah, while the images do appear to be legit, you should definitely be cautious about all the other claims.

Below you can find the leaked images of the Intel Xe-HPG gaming GPU.

  1. “” So yeah, while the images do appear to be legit, ….””

Lol. Nope, They might not be. Something seriously fishy here. As noted by another Disqus user (VoiceOfLogic), we can see that the letter L is missing from one of the Images. Apart from that, MLID YT channel cannot be trusted. Period.

    1. Agreed, unfortunately. MLID said years ago that AMD had big APU plans and APUs were going to be the new thing. If there was ever a time to make that happen it would have been during this time of GPU shortages, especially memory. AMD completely let the APU niche die off to the point where I’m confident APUs will not be a thing this whole decade. Nobody else is going that route either. Intel don’t care to the point where they will buy iGPUs from AMD for some laptop chips apparently.

      1. In the long term it will be correct due to packaging ie both on the same die but suspect its far-far off unless some major breakthrough happens. The consoles really try to push the apu angle as far as its possible but they are easily overshadowed by good gaming PC’s in performance.

Its a reason all 3 major players try to get both good cpu and gpu arcs (Intel just got seemingly serious about gpu, amd already have a good enough solution and why they got the console contracts, nvidia +arm that very well could design a strong arc tuned for performance rather than traditionally efficiency) – Either way we have interesting times ahead

  2. Just another YouTuber trying to make a name for himself dishing out rumors with no factual basis and no credible sources
