Here is a lovely 32-bit demake of The Witcher 3

YouTube’s member ‘Anders Lundbjork’ has shared a video, showcasing what The Witcher 3 would look like in 32bit consoles. It’s a really lovely demake that will put a smile on your face, especially if you miss those early Voodoo 3DFX days.

Now obviously this demake features unfiltered graphics. This is how games looked back in the Windows 95/98 days in software mode. All of the 32-bit console ports, like Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain, Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid looked like this on PC in software mode.

This demake shows a sliiiiiightly different intro of the game. It’s hilarious (especially its ending) so kudos to Lundbjork.

Speaking of demakes, there is a cool Bloodborne demake with Zelda-like graphics that you can download. You can also find a video demake for Cyberpunk 2077.

Enjoy!

The Witcher 3 but it's for PS1

  1. It was a common colloquialism for the fifth gen consoles back when they were new. Mostly because how consoles were marketing to public. The Sega Mega Drive/Genesis had 16-bit written upon the top of it, so the obvious tactic for the following gen of consoles would be to advertise them as being double of the previous number.

Are you a Zoomer? I totally expect someone who wasn’t alive at the time to be doing some “ummm, acktually”.
