NieR Automata has sold over 5 million copies on all platforms

Square Enix has announced that NieR Automata has sold over 5 million copies worldwide on all platforms. The publisher did not reveal any platform-specific figures, though SteamSpy hints at the PC version selling between one and two million copies.

As we’ve already reported, NieR Automata never really received any major update on the PC. Thankfully, though, its modding community was able to fix most of its crucial issues.

For instance, NieR Automata Input Overhaul Mod is a must-have mod as it overhauls and fixes all of the game’s keyboard+mouse issues. This mod clearly shows how enjoyable NieR Automata can be with the K&M. And, since I’ve finished it with it, I can confirm that it works like a charm.

PC gamers can also download an HD Texture Pack. Created by modder ‘GPUnity’, this pack overhauls almost all of the game’s textures.

Let’s at least hope that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will not follow NieR Automata’s lackluster PC support!

  1. I had more fun with racing games like Burnout: Revenge, Paradise and the MotorStorm series than piece of shiit Nier Autofarta and I’m not even a fan of racing games.

  2. Wow. I played this and may confirm that its pure average console game. I mean, visual design is good, but everything else is meh starting from pure japanese characters till average combat

  3. Wasn’t this the game that never received a patch on the PC version and still it may have sold 1 million to 2 million copies on PC? I know the modding community fixed most of the problems.

    1. Never received a patch in any platform, but i think Square Enix are to blame here and not the devs, they released Vanquish on PC in the same year under SEGA and it got multiple patches
The community fixed the resolution problem, and added more options to tweak and better KB/M controls, but some issues are still here

  4. This year I spend my time playing Ghost n Ghouls, Contra 3 and Hard Corps, also Rocket Knight Adventure because I finally figure it out of how to run Retroarch on my PC office (network department on my office finally open ports that allow me to download and update core)
