After numerous promises, CD Projekt RED has delayed Cyberpunk 2077… again. When the team delayed Cyberpunk 2077 until November 19th, it specifically stated that there would be no further delays. And, to be honest, if CDPR is simply unable to keep its word, then it should simply not make any promises at all to its fans.
CD Projekt RED was originally planning to release Cyberpunk 2077 in April 2020. However, the team delayed it to September 2020, then to November 2020 and now to December 10th.

CD Projekt RED claims that this delay is mainly because the team aims to release the game on both current-gen and next-gen systems. Ironically, this exposes another lie that CDPR told its fans. Earlier this year, the team was stating that it was solely focusing on current-gen platforms, for which the game would come out first. Well, apparently that’s no longer the case.
Again, CD Projekt RED should stop lying to its fans, and should stop promising things it can’t fulfill. Understand that we don’t mind this delay. Let CD Projekt RED delay it until 2022 or 2023. What really annoys us is CD Projekt RED’s lies.
While we want to give CDPR the benefit of the doubt, these lies bring back those “downgrade-ation” memories of The Witcher 3. Back in 2015, CDPR was stating that it had not downgraded The Witcher 3. However, a video comparison was enough to prove it wrong.
Now I’m not saying that Cyberpunk 2077 will be downgraded. However, CDPR should simply stop overpromising. That’s all.

But top? not even close. Witcher 3 RPG elements are quite shallow, the gameplay aspects of the game are just fine, but i think people only care about presentation, world building and characters and even graphics first and forget how janky and unbalance that game is in terms of gameplay and systems (the later being among the most important aspects of the genre imho). Not even mods can solve the many issues the game has.

Why not release the PC version first as intended and then later the console versions ? This has been done numerous times before and vice versa.
They want more time to test the quality for the consoles but are done with the PC version is what i read in their statement.
So release the PC version in november and 3 weeks later the console versions.
Dream on. They’d sooner cancel the game than release on PC first.

Because consoles exclusives is A-OK, but 2 months times PC exclusive is a big no-no. PC gamers at heart, my a$$.

Until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out, we’ll play Ghostrunner, this game has the coolest soundtrack of this year!
I’ll be honest this makes me a bit worried as to what kind of state the game is going to launch in. I have no doubt they’re going to patch it, but I’m still worried about how the game’s going to be at launch.
What the flying fu????? It’s literally a meme at this point. The game has got to be in some serious trouble to be delayed like 4 times already (counting one internal delay).
I hope many more people see CDPR for who they truly are – no better than any other AAA developer.
Also fu?? next gen consoles for delaying possibly the only even remotely interesting game of the last 5 years. This again just shows that CDPR only cares about cash and not about zealous CDPR fanboys who’d defend them till their last breath.
Consoles are literally holding this particular PC game back. P.S. I bet they need more time to cut out even more features.

Yakuza, Judge Eyes, KCD, Ghostrunner, Disaster Report 4 flew past you somehow?
Of those 5 I only know of 2: KCD got boring after a while and I haven’t finished it. Ghostrunner uses the dumb 1 hit-1 kill mechanic while I really want an immersive sim in a cyberpunk setting. Yakuza I think is a Japanese games and they’re not my cup of tea no matter how you slice them.
Judge Eyes and Disaster Report 4 names I heard the first time in my life and I have no interest to check them out really.
So you haven’t heard of really awesome games, no wonder you find C2077 interesting.
There’s no accounting for taste I guess. Also I don’t have time to mindlessly consume hundreds of games that are being released each year.
P.S. So those Judge Eyes, Disaster Report 4 and Yakuza are all PS4 games – why the fu?? would I play those if I’m a PC player through and through therefore I don’t own either console (and don’t have a wish to do so)?

If your game has this many problems, another 20 days wont fix it. waiting for next-gen etc is just a bullsh*t excuse, they can’t even show an hour of un-cut gameplay of their finished product. thats how bad things are.
Wasted all of their money on hollywood and e-celeb bulls*it and marketing.

Following are highlights from video games developer CD Projekt’s conference call held yesterday after the company announced another delay of the premiere of its much-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 release, to December 10.
The teleconference was hosted by CEO Adam Kicinski, board member and CFO Piotr Nielubowicz and board member, SVP Business Development Michal Nowakowski.
NEW RELEASE DATE: “We are firm.” – CEO Kicinski. “Realizing on November 19 is possible and was possible” but “having these three more weeks gives us a chance to fix this and that.” “The decision was not easy but we know there is just one release and the first impression is crucial” so in the long-run the decision is beneficial. “Better initial reaction to the game always works in favor of more sales. That is why we are delaying, we don’t have to but having this extra time gives us more certainty that everything will be in the game when we release.”
ABOUT THE DELAY: “This situation is different” compared to previous changes to the deadline – the game for PC is ready and plays well on next-gen consoles and the company is finalizing the process concerning current gen consoles.
GAME ITSELF: “We are really sure we have something amazing in our hands” and once the game is released, “everyone will understand” why it was so difficult. “Don’t get us wrong, we are kind of internally stressed on the one hand, but on the other we feel very strong about the game.” and “We are super happy with what we will deliver.”
2020 RECEIPTS: “The time for the game on the market [this year] is shorter, we will have smaller revenues but still comparable,” Nielubowicz said, underlining that in the case of ‘The Witcher 3″ 90% of sales in the premiere quarter came in the first four weeks. “Pre-holiday period should also support sales on the market.”
PRE-ORDERS: The ratio for pre-orders between ‘The Witcher 3’ and ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ at the same stage before the premiere “is continuously very satisfying.” CD Projekt expects no major cancellations of pre-orders because of the delay.
AVERAGE SELLING PRICE: “We believe we are a premium title, we don’t have to give any extra incentives.”
(NO) CONTRACTUAL FINES: “there are no penalties we would be facing from any of our partners.”
MARKETING COSTS: “We will have to reschedule the marketing campaign and such a rescheduling will most likely entail higher spending,” Nielubowicz said, adding it’s too soon to offer any exact cost. “There is gonna be some extra supporting budget for sure to account for the change,” one of the officials also said.
FEEDBACK: Feedback “gives us a lot of confidence.” Those who completed the game say they have never played a game like this before.” – board member Nowakowski
IMPACT OF DELAY ON EXTENSIONS: “We expect no impact on extensions.”
