Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 is currently in production. Back in March – due to the global epidemic – the producers shut down the shooting of the show, which takes place in the United Kingdom.
We now have the Season 2 logline, which reads as the following: “Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
According to the logline, it seems the show will continue exactly where the first season ended. Meaning this season will be much more linear, as are the books from this point forward. This will probably make some people happy, since the timeline of the first season brought confusion to many viewers.
Netflix recently published two new photos of Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf. Of course, they also published a new photo of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, Ciri for short. Both Geralt and Ciri look badass in the pictures, as they should.
The first two photos feature Henry Cavill as Geralt, wearing his brand new armor. The black leather armor looks awesome. However, it also looks a bit fresh forged. Hopefully they will make it look more weathered. Also, how exactly did Geralt managed to get the orens to purchase such an armor? I’m guessing the “Toss a coin to your Witcher” album is selling well in the Northern Kingdoms!
Lastly, in the final photo we can see Ciri holding a sword in a snowy background. I’m guessing she is probably training in Kaer Morhen with Geralt, and the rest of the witchers. This a very important part of Ciri’s story, since her witcher training will play a vital role in her future. Let’s hope this season will make better use of the source material, and stay true to the Witcher lore.

Thanks Comicbook.

Ah the good old leather armor with six pack. I remember having this in the games. ….. Wait no I don’t. Is it that hard to just make a costume that is in the games. They look good and cosplayers can already make them. It’s not that hard Netflix.
The Netflix version of The Witcher is a show made by women for women.
Fkin come on…the armor looks awesome, it doesn’t have to be from the game.
Plus, there’s so many armor mods and tweaks you can do to change aspects like material and shine, etc, I don’t think anyone familiar with the games will even register it. Hell, there’s probly a mod on Nexus right now for THAT armor.
How low are your standards? Any Larper could make a better looking armor in a week. This looks even worse than his armor from the first season.
The game’s armor design is far better than this. And the series barely resembles the books to begin with, so at least is consistent in that.
The show isn’t based on the games…
The SJWitcher returns, now with twice as many raceswapped characters.
The Triss issue is such a big one for me… It’s such a huge eyesore when it’s so blatantly different. They had better figure out a way to make their Triss look 10x more girl-like and playful than last season, considering the role she has to play at Kaer Morhen.
This armor still looks like it’s unused prop from cheap Hercules tv show with Kevin Sorbo.
But that show was 10x better than anything right now and the production value was very high for the times. I’d take The Legendary Journeys of Hercules or Xena over any of this Garbo today.
It was definitely entertaining for a 12-year old me when it was airing.
His armor will get better with every season.
Unfortunately the show won’t what with the current showrunner and her agenda.
Pozzed show.
One would hope that Cavil will have more say in season 2 in which to convince more aspects from Wild Hunt into the scripts and look of the production. Shows like this suffer when sets and action sequences look too much like other shows.
