New Fable game to be announced on July 23rd with an in-engine trailer

Last month, we informed you about a placeholder Twitter account for Fable. And from the looks of it, Microsoft will indeed announce a new Fable game in a few days, during its Xbox Series X first-party games showcase.

According to industry insider, Klobrille, Microsoft will reveal a new Fable game with an in-engine trailer on July 23rd. However, the publisher does not plan to have an extended gameplay demo like it plans for Halo: Infinite.

As Klobrille wrote on Resetera:

“Just to get that expectation right, I don’t think anyone should expect a Fable announcement with a gameplay demo like what Halo Infinite will do.

I guess this will rather be in the Horizon II-trailer-like ballpark. So, an in-engine trailer but somewhat indicative of what to expect.”

So yeah, a next-gen Fable game is under development and Microsoft will officially reveal it on July 23rd.

Of course this isn’t the first time we hear about a new Fable game. Back in February, a rumor surfaced when an artist shared some artworks from what appeared to be a new Fable game. However, the artist debunked those Fable 4 rumors, claiming that he had no relationship with Playground Games.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Hope it go back to the good old Fable 1 or at least Fable 2. No MMORPG rubbish like Fable Legends that is shown on E3 2014

  2. Same old recycled garbage once again. Halo, Fable, Forza etc. Microsoft was supposed to have new IP by now for the upcoming Series X. PS5 will destroy them with their first party titles. You might as well just get Gamepass and skip their hardware entirely.

    1. Ps5 fanboy: OMG XBOX SAME GARBAGE RECYCLED TITLES!!!!

      PS5 First PARTY TITLES: Spider-man 2, Horizon 2, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank 6, … LOOOOOL

        1. It’s not really DLC. It’s a spin off like game with a smaller budget like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

    2. We haven’t had a new, proper Fable game in 9 years. The Road game doesn’t count.

Plus, if it’s anywhere as good as Fable 2, it’s gold.

  3. At this point with how many bullshot tricks and garbage that developers use for trailers I cannot for the life of me begin to care about them. Developers have 100% killed any hype I could have for a game through trailers at this point because they are so routinely dishonest with them.

    1. Totally agree… plus what is even the point? everybody can easily watch gameplay videos and even the trailer dissection video eventually posted to show how fake the trailer was. This isn’t like buying a SNES game like back in the day and deciding if it’s worth the purchase based on the cover art and 2 dinky small screenshots on the back LOL

    2. Seems like they didnt learn anything after the backlash they had with the last event.
Microsoft has been talking for years now about things to come and now this new gen
is around the corner its been nothing but PR statements and cgi
trailers of more things to come.
