Modder Halk Hogan PL released a brand new comparison video between The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project 12.0 Ultimate and the vanilla version. This new video will give you a small glimpse at all the improved textures that are coming in version 12.0.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project features very high quality textures with great sharpness and performance. It’s worth noting that the mod does not increase the VRAM requirements. Thus, if you’re already running the game on Max settings, you will be able to run it. Also, this project features very high quality accurate normal maps, and a lot of them are baked from high poly meshes. Additionally, this mod comes with high quality meshes, and it packs better objects LODs.
To be honest, this is one of the best graphical mods for The Witcher 3. The visual improvements are truly amazing. Not only that, but the modder has stayed as close to the original art style as possible. In short, all fans of The Witcher 3 should be using it.
Alongside a number of objects, version 12.0 will also enhance the game’s NPCs. Last month, the modder released another comparison video that you can find here.
Unfortunately, there is no ETA on when The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project 12.0 Ultimate will come out. Still, you can go ahead and download its previous version.
Enjoy the comparison video and stay tuned for more!

Just about how many fonts he uses for the damn logo alone. He’s also saying that vanilla witcher looks like trash while in reality it’s the inconsistent texture mod from himself that does it. Guy’s no good.
Make sure to watch the video from distance so you get the real change as it’s played in third person. Hint – there is none.
You always manage to find the worst possible take in every article. It is a little sad.
no, he’s right, texture inconsistency is worse than having consistent low quality textures.
But that’s almost every single game out there, specially console ports.
you can easily find videos on youtube which proves my point. this video for example :

everything looks sharper and high res compared to vanilla skyrim but even ps3 port looks better than this trash. and look this isn’t just one game and one example, you can easily find thousands of videos like this and most of them are made by someone who has some sort of anime or weird shet as their avatar. you have to have severe autism or some sort of mental illness to be like these people, these people play gmod and second life.
Well, the low res and motion blur helps a lot when it comes to hide low textures…specially on consoles like PS3-Xbox 360 era.
With that said, i would argue that even then, Witcher 3 looked way better than Skyrim SE (pointing to that version since it would be more fair due to the release dates) considering that Skyrim is played in first person mostly.
I think the game from Bethesda (i blame the engine mostly) has a poor management in textures overall compared with the Red Engine, thank Zeus we have mods for that anyways.
here’s another one:

ha ha it’s funny but you’re right.
This guy always posts the WORST comments ever.
Maybe he’s just trolling ?
And his friend who likes goats below is the same.
Right? I ended up blocking the goat guy a long time ago.
you’re obsessed with me don’t lie.
both of you have notoriously low iqs and that dirtpoor guy is a known rytard on dsog. poor idiot is obsessed with me, says he’s got me blocked but responds to me anyways.
Halk Hogan is doing amazing work here! I think this project may be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, graphical improvement mods ever made. Kudos!
Yeah i’m not really a big fan of graphic mods as they tend to ruin the overal aesthetics in a lot of games but, this actually looks impressive apart from the water textures as I prefer the originals.
+1 for that.
Halk Hogan?
So he’s like, our cousin or something?
Kudos to the modder for sticking to the project even after 5 years of release, i remember at the time of launch the game had way too many low quality textures even for a third person game (rocks, im looking at them)…thankfully this mod tackles that “issue” and more while preserving the overall artstyle. It was honestly a must have back in 2015 and surely is now in 2020.
really looking forward to this, the released version is great!
