Resident Evil 3

Resident Evil 3 Remake covers have been leaked online

It appears that the announcement for Resident Evil 3 Remake is almost upon us. Gamstat, which tracks everything that’s added on PSN, has unveiled the first covers for the European/American and Japanese versions of Resident Evil 3 Remake.

In short, these covers directly come from the official PSN pages of Resident Evil 3 Remake. My guess is that Capcom will announce Resident Evil 3 Remake at the VGA 2019 awards. This is mere speculation from our part so don’t take it for granted.

A couple of days ago, Capcom teased Resident Evil 3 Remake via a franchise Steam sale picture. Now while this was an old poster for the entire RE franchise, Capcom could have easily used another one. Earlier this month, there was a rumour suggesting that Resident Evil 3 Remake was indeed under development.

In case you’re wondering, The Video Game Awards 2019 event will air on December 13th.

But anyway, enjoy the following covers and stay tuned for more!

  1. What happen with jill shirt? shirt like that will came with SJW approve pant.
if they let SJW happen i will pirate this game.

even nemesis look very less scary

they replace hell scary body part with some tube?
and his teeth look kind of funny like a clown

are you aim for kid and teen age girl now?

hope this fake or will be really big disappointed.

          1. No game got Claire right. Only the CGI movie Degeneration got her right. But from all the games, Remake Claire is my favorite, same goes for Leon.

          2. When it comes to games Code Veronica got her fine, but yeah when it comes to movies in Degeneration she was perfect.

In Rev2 she was like a drug addict, with a few adjustments tho she was close to looking good. I don’t know it feels like they screwed her face for reasons ? Like oh she is scared because of the virus she was in her arm etc idk.

      1. They are trying so hard to make these new RE games look so
realistic/western, which makes them look so boring. Realism isn’t
creative and can be easily replaced with something less realistic, but
more visually pleasing. Which is why the original trilogy had such a
nice atmosphere, while in RE7 and REmake2 they just made everything dark
        as f***.

      1. My bad, I just looked it up. I was thinking it was far older than 2015, but that was the Gamecube version I was thinking of.

        1. That makes two of us.
But I would reaaaaaally love a remaster/remake of Code Veronica.
          It’s one of my favorites.

    1. Am I the only one who hates the: “It’s a horror game, so let’s make everything as dark as possible” aesthetic?
That’s why original RE2’s atmosphere is miiiiles more unique.

      1. 100% agree sir… The RE2 remake was way too dark. It doesnt bring anything to the atmosphere… The original RE2 did better with bright graphics

          1. Sure, more sun, more colors, more “pride” flags, tranny zombies in rainbow shirts…

          2. This is zombie game, it should be dark, gloomy, rainy, etc
I could see my surroundings fine in RE2re

          3. I don’t have much of a problem with it either, but if I could choose to see more I certainly would’ve chosen more lightning in general. Good horror doesn’t depend on darkness that much. But again – we are talking about Resident Evil here, so not a big deal. This series’ only consistency is in how inconsistent it is anyway.

          4. I have read lots of posts on the forums etc and seen some screenshots of the game being too dark, however i bought it recently, played and finished it and i did not notice such a thing.

I saw some screenshots from other users whose screen was actually too dark, and with different GPU drivers it was not. Is it a driver issue, or a game issue ? Was it a problem in the past and it got patch or not ? No idea.

I remember this problem being mostly Nvidia specific too.

          5. Well, I’ve got Nvidia on my gaming laptop I completed RE2 Reimagining on. I don’t remember any issues (other then the insane slowdowns each time you loaded the game and started moving around opening doors and loading up other locations, on the early game version. They patched that eventually), but I do get the guy – unlike the original this reimagining is trying to use darkness to spook ya and that is just simply not working, just ends up limiting your view somewhat and that is it. Still prefer the original. The controls, the camera, the awkwardness of it all makes it have so much more personality of it’s own, while REimagining 2, in essence, is just another third-person survival horror game. Good one, but still just another one for the pile.

          6. Better how ? What, darkness in itself is scary for you ? Not being able to clearly see what is in front or around you is what enhancing the atmosphere of horror to you ? Shambling decaying living corpses are not enough for you ?

    2. Whoever designed this Nemesis, should really be reprimanded for even having envisioned this garbage in the first place.

      1. he would look much scarier with the veins instead of these tubes and don’t even get me started on that face. THE EFFING NOSE ! whose idea was it that a nose is better than the lack of it for a horror game?

    1. Let’s see, NOT put her in a outfit that makes no sense when you are trying to escape a zombie filled city. I mean its an invitation to bite your shoulder and she HAD a sweater but kept it wrapped around her waist.

I have no arguments against a classic outfit choice though lol.

        1. Why would her face like the Jill Valentine from the Gamecube? In the Gamecube game did Jill look like she did in RE1 and RE3??? Its 2019, just like with with the Leon and Claire character models, they have to make them look more human and realistic by today’s standards.

What do think this is fck tard? Dead or Alive where the characters have stayed the practically same looking since the second game from 2 decades ago?

      1. *literally has an argument against the classic outfit*
*claims he has no argument against the classic outfit*

Ah, whatever. The thing is still in the game as an unlockable. Unavoidably. If it is not then CAPCOM f*cked up cosmically.

        1. My argument is that the classic outfit is ridiculously impractical, not that it is hot as sh*t, which it is.

Learn the difference next time people.

          1. Well, I dunno, I, for one, always though that Jill’s dressed that way because she got caught up in action while happening to dress this way. Who knows what color towel they’ll have to meet the zombie apocalypse in ?

          2. If a zombie apocalypse starts out of nowhere and you are dressed into your outfit you would go to a dinner with, what the hell are you gonna do first ?

Try to survive or go to your wardrobe and change ? What are you talking about.

The infestation in raccoon city spread really fast, its actually realistic that she wears a normal outfit a woman would wear instead of something “practical” or combat ready.

Also its supposed to be in 90s.

  2. Um….. ya, that doesn’t look legit at all. I sure hope it isn’t, because Capcom has been on a roll lately, and they really need to “not” screw up RE3R.

    1. It’s supposedly legit. But let’s be frank here – they already screwed it up, because they are making a just yet another reimagining, not a remake, same as that latest RE2.

Not like people will care, though.

  3. Really by now you think companies would just not release anything to anyone till after a reveal. Sure is rare to be surprised these days.

  4. what the hell did you do to Nemesis’s face Capcom???
he looks like an effing pedo with that nose!
    seriously !!!!!
I genuinely hope this is fake !
killed all my excitement for it

      1. the one who used to live in my neighbourhood

but in all seriousness! the terrible models aside, I’ve never seen so much inconsistency in one image. it’s like a mish mash of a movie poster and anime art!!

    1. Its almost done for free, complete remake, textures, models etc been in works for years they now doing final touches

  5. Lots of people dont know but this is NOT a real Resident Evil 3, but a side story, a real Resident Evil 3 is RE: code Veronica.

Capcom had agreement with Sony that they going to release 3 main series game on PS, so they had to rename this side story to 3 and the actual 3 to Code Veronica.
I hoped when Capcom remakes the series they will return to roots and number the games properly

    1. Your hope was unfounded. Why would anyone rename the “reimagined” games to more closely resemble the original plans ? Especially when there aren’t any members of the original development team present anymore ?

Now I had a equally unfounded hope – that these would be ACTUAL remakes, in the vein of REmake by Mikami. And boy oh boy was I a sucker. Although deep inside me a cynic always knew that in the age of people hating fixed camera and tank controls those would never actually come out. And they didn’t.

      1. For consistency, to keep the story flowing, maybe as a nod to old plans.

Personally I had no complains if it was fixed camera, I never liked RE4, IMHO it was first RE game that broke the Horror formula and turned into 3rd person western [not Western but as in not Japanese] action game, with mish mash of monsters.

I always loved the classical monsters and RE1 style, I also didnt like the immortal follower in RE2 Remake [thank god there is mod to remove him, makes the game pacing more pleasing and you have more time to look around and enjoy the scenery], I HATE games with TIMERS, HATE, and when they have Immortal Character that makes me run and hide and move on, its the same thing as having a timer.

RE Code Veronica is a nice game, a classical RE just using 3D engine and i its nice game.

Same is Resident Evil Revelation 1, it reminded me of classical RE somewhat. [I pre-ordered a 3DS just for that game]

RE1 Remake is great and RE0 that was made in too look like it is also a classic.

BTW, im one of the original RE fans, when i was a kid [just started to learn English] clerk in the Games shop offered me a copy of Japanese RE1 it came first in Japan, and I was in hurry to play this game i was reading about in imported US game magazines that I was collecting.

Back then it didnt matter what region the games was from, all consoles sold locally were chipped, we had no offical sony here, only third parties importing and selling their electronics.
All the Game disks were Chinese pirated factory copies, they came in nylon bag, had printed/stamped top, not like you print on disk but more like original disks did, just in lower quality, and had printed paper cover inside the bag.

I spoke no word of Japanese and i still dont and knew basic Game English [games helped with me learning],and I managed to finish it, it was love in first sight!

I even owned “ResidentEvil2” domain for a year, was a dumb kid, i could of made if not million but half million for sure selling it to Capcom when they came up with the game, but i let the time run out and it was gone.

        1. I agree that the Mr.X part was a bit stressful however with Claire at least its not like he lasted THAT long, it was just for the Clock Tower rotation and its not like the game was not pushing you with the quest tracking on the top left side of the screen telling you what you need to do. (e.g. fight the missing electrical parts)

Also when it comes to Mr. X and RPD after you are done with him you can go back to RDP via the elevator in the sewers and explore the whole area again to unlock more stuff, no pressure this time and you are more powerful.

    2. Meh, who cares, it was still one of the best Resident Evil games, and IMO so much better than Code veronica.

Jill was hot. Hearing that b**tard say “StAARS” was exhilarating. The branching choices, at the time, were unique and interesting. The plot was pretty good. To this day, I still remember how terrible I felt when the Nemesis b**tard shot down the rescue chopper and we had to switch to playing as lame a*s Carlos.

  6. RE0, RE1, RE2, RE Revelations 1 & 2 and now RE3.
What a time to be alive.
    Again.

hope it’s not some fanmade sh*t

  7. I get too much Anime vibes from that nemesis and not in a good way.

Chris….. looks like a latino hobo or a hobo jew with a jewfro.

Jill, is OK still sexy, hell i am highly surprise is not a buch dyke at this point in time.

Soo as the insane ask, i am “Curving my expectations” because i know it could be waaaaaaay worse.

    1. Let’s see him in gameplay action first. Who knows, maybe he is even more terrifying then he was before. They did have good practise with Mr. X in that RE2 Reimagining. Although his teeth truly do look like a piano.

The only problem with Carlos is the hair lenght you would simply never be let into a military squad of any type with.

And Jill is almost ideantical to Daisy Ridley… Which at this point isn’t surprising for me. I mean… If CAPCOM doesn’t give a sh*t about constants like character designs anymore… Then why should I, really ?

Resident Evil has always been B-movie level trash. Not something you expect dedicated permanence from on any level. Be it character designs, music styles or even gameplay. Exactly why Silent Hill died and RE still lives on. Because RE knows how to adapt, while Silent Hill was too dedicated to itself.

  8. …”Remake” ? Hope we clear that up. Because they released that other Resident Evil 2 that people still call a “remake” for some reason, although it is clearly a reimagining.

Remakes are the same games, but better in every way. They play mostly exactly the same, they are presented exactly the same and in their core are the improvements over the original’s blueprint (see REmake, The Twin Snakes, Yakuza Kiwami, MediEvil, Spyro, etc.)

Reimaginings are a different story – they are games that take the original game and do something completely different to literally every element of it, leaving not much of the original there. Which is Resident Evil 2 (the new one).

So I hope we really clear that up if this is a true remake or is just another completely different game that is just based on a already existing one.

Ah, who am I kidding – it is exactly the RE2 (the new one) all over again.

  9. Jill’s face looks like Natalie Portman, and Carlos’ looks like Jon Bernthal. So stupid. What is it with Japanese developers fawning over Hollywood actors?

You already have the characters designed from the original games, just bring them to the modern era with today’s technology ffs.

  10. Really wish Capcom would get away with from hiring “models” to face scan already. Get your artists to, you know, create and design? WTF is with this lazy face scanning garbage? It’s lame, and looks like crap.

  11. I hope mod creators can make all of them look like they do in the Original RE3 otherwise this will be a major disappointment.

With faces like these its not a Remake at this point but more like an alternative universe.
