New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gameplay video with Ray Tracing effects surfaces

NVIDIA has released a brand new video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in which its Ray Tracing effects are active. Unfortunately, this video showcases the Gunfight 2V2 multiplayer mode; a mode we’ve seen countless times lately.

As such, there is nothing new in this video for those that have already seen the Gamescom 2019 gameplay videos. For everyone else, this latest video will give you a small idea of Gunfight. Gunfight is a 2V2 competitive mode in which two teams (consisting of two players) duke it out.

Infinity Ward will be using ray tracing in order to enhance the shadows in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. These ray tracing effects will be within both the single-player campaign and 2v2 Gunfight multiplayer mode.

Last but not least, the multiplayer open beta phase for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will begin on September 19th on the PC.

Enjoy!

  1. Raytracing is being used for shadows here. This is an implementation where the end result is not that much more impressive than RTX off.

Game still looks great though, and that sound is fantastic.

  2. I like how this call of duty looks and sounds. Idk about the gameplay it’s pretty repetitive since 1999 but still 🙂

  3. No one is going to care for this in a PVP MP based game. I’ve watched people like Levelcap, who just turn all their settings down, to save on performance, which in turn gives them an advantage.

The same will happen for this game, as well as the fact that not everyone has an RTX card.
