About that, there is no way you can do these large city enviroments with RTX, the game will have to cut back in order to run on non beast pcs.
They can do some rtx effects but not all of them or at low quality like cutting the resolution of reflections to half of even less or using less rays then its possible.
And by then we will have rtx 2.0 and amd raytracing gpu i hope

I have said it before it is pretty sad how little respect Dying Light 2 gets especially after that last video they released. To Me that video is insane + the most impressive visuals in any PC game I have seen to date.
Will see what happens, it has RTX and I am pretty sure those effects where not in the video(reflections where cube maps). So for a console game on this gen hardware you then have to say that is really impressive. Anyways time will tell.

Man I don’t know what to say… pre-order cancelled LOL 🙂 . Well I don’t think it has come to that. I think it still looks good but the video’s graphics disappointed Me, not going to lie. I was 100% convinced it was console footage since it looked downgraded for some reason(maybe Dying Light 2 did that).
Having said all that the gameplay and world looks solid and you will be able to play it for months so that is a good thing. It’s not like the graphics are bad I just expected it to blow away the Witcher 3 from all the pre hype and RTX hype.
That dying light 2 video was to good to be true: the gameplay sequence they shown was heavily scripted no way the final game will be that seamless.
When the game release i want someone to try to recreate this sequence exactly as it is and see if that was not scripted to make it look better than it is.

It was and techland like CDPR is really good with support after lauch. at the same time, CDP pulled another W3 stunt here, washed out colors and way less details compared to the original gameplay video they showed. don’t know why they do that but it makes me less excited for the game.

I bet the source is recorded in 1080p internal res. with some effects turned down to keep the framerate up with RT. First demo was running in 4K, people who saw the demo confirmed that resolution aswell, which looked way crispier. There is definitely upscaling in that video.

I don’t know how to feel about this game anymore, too many bad choices lately especially, it still looks like a decently crafted games, but i’m not sure i can go over this choice of including minorities visions on the game, or other SJW components. Also, did CD Projeckt Red really show the exactly same demo on E3, Gamescom and PAX? Seems a bit odd that they would only have one demo to show during the entire course of four months. Coupled this with passing a vertical slide as a gameplay demo last year and major design changes and recasting of key characters happening very late into production, I can’t help myself but think something smells fishy about this game.

I appreciate it’s a marketing thing but having an American do the video commentary in that cheesy movie trailer voiceover style was more than a little cringe worthy, imo. Hearing one of the devs doing it instead in their Polish accent would have had far greater import and integrity, for me at least.
