NVIDIA and AMD release optimized drivers for Remedy’s supernatural action game, Control

AMD and NVIDIA have released new drivers that are optimized for Remedy’s supernatural action game, Control. Although the green team did not reveal any performance percentages increases, AMD noted that this driver improves performance under the DX11 API.

Going into more details, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.8.2 improves performance by up to 10%. Moreover, this driver adds support for Man of Medan, as well as for HDCP 2.3 on Radeon RX 5700 series GPUs. It’s also worth noting that this driver fixes an application hang on performing a task switch in Rocket League. It also addresses a slower bug when performing a task switch in League of Legends.

The new NVIDIA driver fixes the corruption issues on some tracks in Forza Motorsport 7. Furthermore, it resolves the system crash that occurred while installing the drivers on a system with mixed GPUs.

    1. agreed. sad to see how far remedy has fallen. should have kept the rights to max payne and developed 3 themselves, instead of wasting many years on alan wake which while good flopped for the most part…. and quantum boredom… well i dont like talking about that supposed game.

    2. It’s not motion blur. It’s some kind of a weird baked in temporal scaling solution that the Northlight engine uses.

      1. Yeah, it uses that but it also uses motion blur. There’s even a way to disable it now and the difference is obvious (only works in DX11 though)

    1. You don’t understand, that’s the revolutionary NVidia GrainWorks™ technology, it’s being used to faithfully recreate the experience of people suffering from visual snow, which is believed to be caused by excessive excitability of the brain cortex, just like it would happen to people with psychic powers. I guess Remedy’s masterpiece is just 2deep4u.

    2. can you tell us some details? have you change from 436.02? what kind of GPU do you have? thanks in advice man.
