Alan Wake feature

Alan Wake and For Honor are now available for free on Epic Games Store

Epic Games is offering today two triple-A games for free. From now and until August 9th, PC gamers can download for free (and own them forever) both Alan Wake and For Honor. This is a pretty great deal so we strongly suggest getting them (obviously in case you don’t own them yet).

In Alan Wake, players assume the role of Alan Wake, a best-selling suspense author suffering from writer’s block. Wake escapes to the small town of Bright Falls, only to experience the mysterious disappearance of his wife. Players will unravel the riveting plot through multilayered character interactions, unique problem-solving and intense combat against the darkest of enemies. In this nightmarish world, Wake must use a variety of weapons to survive.

On the other hand, For Honor is a third-person melee game, featuring both a campaign and multiplayer modes. Players embody warriors of the three Great Factions – the bold Knights, the brutal Vikings and the deadly Samurai – fighting to the death on intense and believable melee battlefields. The game’s innovative combat system will put players in total control of their warriors, allows them to utilize the unique skills and combat style of each hero to vanquish all enemies who stand in their way.

You can download these two games for free by visiting the Epic Games Store. Next week, Epic Games will offer for free the 3D puzzle game, GNOG.

Have fun!

      1. Well, at least I don’t have it on Steam
But I don’t have it on EGS either and don’t plan to get it.

        1. You never know. A few bad calls by Steam, a few good calls by the competition, things swing quickly.
Never put all your stock into one front.

      1. And if so Steam will someday close their store, they promised that all our games will be given away as drm. But i really doubt steam will ever close up. That’s like saying that pc gaming will die.

      1. Maybe when tou stop living out of your mom’s purse you will understand what consumer choice is and why it matters. Maybe then we won’t thing of you as an idiot.

  1. So Alan Wake was removed from every store because of the music rights but somehow Epic/Tencent was allowed to give it away?

  2. Great, I now have 27 free games from them in my Epic games library and haven’t spent a penny with them yet. I don’t know why people moan so much.
