First official images for Netflix’s The Witcher series show Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer

Netflix has just released the first official images for its upcoming The Witcher series, starring Henry Cavill as Geralt. These first images show Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer, and will give you an idea of how the series’ main characters will look like.

In the series, Yennefer will be played by Anya Chalotra whereas Ciri will be played by Freya Allan (and as we’ve already said, Geralt will be played by Henry Cavill).

Now we don’t usually share this type of stories but I’m certain that a lot of The Witcher fans will be interested in them. After all, this is a live-action mini series adaptation of their favourite game (though from what we know, the mini series will be more based on the Polish novels than on the games).

Netflix’s The Witcher series will air in Q4 2019.

Enjoy!

  1. It’s meant to be a book adaptation? I didn’t know that. That makes me more interested. I much prefer the story that the books tell over the games.

      1. The screenshots look awesome, it gives the atmosphere the producers want and I will expect to deliver , a trailer is very much needed for the production value. But since this is DSO, everyone is going to bash this hard, like is something of a antiself-belief.

  2. Netflix fantasy dramas only works for teenagers, if it were HBO or STARZ then maybe we had a chance for something good but now it’s just a big meh….

    1. EXACTLY!
HBO or STARZ would only be the two that could be a proper “Rated-R” version for adult audiences…something The Witcher series is!

      1. Impliying i have any expectations for this garbage made by Netflix…..the costumes are the least of the problems here.

  3. I certainly hope they are planning on dubbing Geralt’s voice using the same voice actor from the games.

  4. it looks incredibly cheap. also “the GAME will be more based on the Polish novels than on the games”?

    1. Cheap? They look exactly like the game, from the color pallet to the position like taken from the game, even though is based on the book the game influence is seen. Jesus Christ !

      1. Yes but they dont look nothing like them the only one that looks just kindaISH is superman lol

      1. Your mental breakdown throughout this comments section is somewhat amusing to witness. Keep on at it, champ.

    1. Actually, casting looks pretty good. The real test will see how they are used, as the key to this will be adapting a story that’s fairly sprawled out.

  5. Is it going to be infested by sjw / radical / feminist bs story and dialogues? or its going to be uplifting, inspiring, masculine / feminine / symbolism ?

  6. Neither Geralt or Yennefer look anything like they are described in the books. Im guessing its a very rough adaption.

Also, im kinda disappointed by Geralts outfits. Like im just a fan and i own a more accurate outfit that i had made for 800. That one looks like something you get off AliExpress for like 100 bucks.

    1. He’s too thick to be a Witcher. The Witcher is supposed to be agile but Cavill pumped too much iron.

      1. Can’t quite see the agility in that front view…. is there a gif of this I’m missing??

  7. yen looks like a teenager with daddy issues, she should look like mid 30s. ciri looks off as well but i don’t care about witcher so do whatever you want.

  8. I didn’t know Geralt had such a huge f*ckin’ nose. Anyway, 10/10, they oughta just skip the actual p*rn bits and make a whole show of this.
Actually, if they leave one p*rn-scene where Geralt meets Filippa Eilhart, that would be great…

  9. Only Witcher by name, as suspected. Saw that coming. Not all but most games into movies/TV shows, and vice versa, are typically garbage and far from the tone of the content it came from and made it successful in the first place.

The writers and directors have probably not even touched the game, let alone have any familiarity whatsoever with the lore beyond surface level.

Meh, wasnt hyped about it anyways.

    1. Idk about them but Henry Cavill is a fan, he played the games and read all the books. There is an interview out there.
