Modder ‘Halk Hogan’ has released some new comparison screenshots between the upcoming version of his HD Reworked Project and the vanilla version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. These new screenshots showcase some of the improved textures that Halk Hogan is bringing to the table. Moreover, the modder claimed that “something… like never before…” will be featured in this upcoming version.
In case you weren’t aware of, The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project aims to overhaul CD Projekt RED’s title, featuring high quality meshes with a lot of details (most of them are created from scratch and good optimalization is preserved), very high quality detailed textures with great sharpness and performance, without any unnecessary VRAM losses, very high quality accurate normal maps and specially customized materials for all reworked stuff.
It’s pretty clear – from all the comparison screenshots released so far for this mod – that Halk Hogan has put a lot of work into it. Not only that, but the end results are amazing and this is one of the must-have mods for The Witcher 3. Thanks to some lighting mods and this HD Reworked Project, the modded version of The Witcher 3 feels like a remaster.
Unfortunately there is no ETA on when this new version of the mod will come out, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted. Until then, enjoy the following screenshots.
Enjoy!

Looks pretty good.
Nice, we may yet reach the pre-downgrade quality
Nope.
Such minor improvements in a dead, bad and overrated game that nobody will notice in actual gameplay.
won multiple awards and game of the year. sorry mate even if it’s your opinion your taste in games is rubbish..
He may just be having fun by deliberately poking the hornets nest knowing there’ll be a hysterical reaction due to how notoriously precious the self-appointed CD Projekt Red fanboy cult is.
Heh, another butthurt W3 hater. Grow up
In terms of textures improvement I am definitely in Less is More camp. Its perfect because it maintains the original vision of the game as close as possible as it were done by the game developers themselves.
Why even bother game looks fine as is.
MHA…
very small improvements, looks like they took the original textures, added a sharpening filter and rendered them at higher rez then downsampled them or used some ai upscaling app
