The embargo for the latest preview coverage for Crackdown 3 has been lifted any various publications have released videos, showing the game’s single-player and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer videos focus on the Wrecking Zone mode; the mode that will feature the most extensive and detailed destruction in the game via the Cloud.
In case you weren’t aware of, in Wrecking Zone, two teams of five battle for interagency in a fully-destructible environment. This mode will be using the power of the cloud and will offer extensive destructibility (that will be exclusive to the MP mode and won’t be available to the game’s single-player mode).
Now while the destruction looks cool, it did not really “wow” me the same way that initial 2014 video did. It’s pretty amazing that it works but I was expecting more havoc and mayhem than what is being displayed here. Also, none of the players tried to completely destroy the buildings (and to be honest this is something that I’d immediately try in order to see how fully-destructible the environment actually is).
But anyway, Crackdown 3 is currently planned for a February 15th release!
